London holds more BJJ tournaments than any other UK city by a clear margin, with Manchester a distant second. Leeds, Brighton, High Wycombe, Essex, Coventry and Birmingham add regular events across England, while Belfast anchors competition in Northern Ireland and Grappling Industries Scotland covers the Scottish calendar.
All Stars BJJ is the busiest organiser, running events such as All Stars BJJ London and All Stars BJJ South. Grappling Industries runs frequent London and Scotland events with round-robin brackets, and other recurring names include the Essex Jiu Jitsu Open, Pro Sport Grappling, BJJ247 (North), Scottish Grappling, the UKGCC BJJ Open and the Solid Ground All Ireland youth championships in Belfast.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are close to evenly split, around three in ten events include an absolute, and roughly one in five runs kids divisions. IBJJF rules are the most common ruleset. Adult entry is typically around £10–£49, with a median of about £20. Autumn is peak season, with November, October and September the busiest months.
