Welcome to the British Sport Sambo Championships 2026, Great Britain's premier annual Sport Sambo competition.

The Championships welcome athletes from across Great Britain and around the world to compete in a professionally organised event conducted under the current International Sambo Federation (FIAS) Sport Sambo Rules.

Whether you are competing for the first time or are an experienced national or international athlete, our aim is to provide a fair, safe and enjoyable competition while promoting the continued growth of Sport Sambo.

The event is open to eligible British and international competitors.

Please read all event information and regulations before registering.

The organisers reserve the right to amend these regulations where necessary to ensure the safe and efficient running of the Championships.

Single Entry: 35 pounds (veterans and seniors)

Single Entry U18: 25 Pounds

Double Entry: 45 pounds (veterans and seniors)

Double Entry U18: 35 Pounds

Spectators 5 pounds cash/card on the day

Late Registration Fee: 35 pounds (Juniors)/45 pounds (Seniors)

Age category notice

Age will be determined by age on the day

Competitors must register in the correct age category based on their year of birth.

The following exceptions are permitted:

  • Youths aged 17 or 18 may compete in the Senior division.
  • Veterans aged 35+ may compete in Senior division

All registrations will be reviewed by the organiser before the event. Competitors entered into an incorrect age category outside of the permitted exceptions will have the incorrect entry removed. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Where an athlete is eligible to compete in two age categories, they must register for both divisions. If an athlete is entered into an ineligible second division, the additional entry will be removed. No refund will be issued for the removed second entry, and the athlete will remain entered in their original eligible division.

Weigh-in and Event Schedule Times Notice:

Weigh-in times will be released closer to the date and updated on smoothcomp, there will be a day before weigh in with location and time to be released closer to the day.
