Las Vegas has one of the busiest BJJ competition calendars in the United States, with events held across the city and in nearby Henderson. National circuits, leagues and local organizers all run regular tournaments here.
Grappling Industries Las Vegas is the most frequent tournament, and PGF World seasons also run regularly in the city. Other recurring events include the World Star Jiu Jitsu Federation Las Vegas Cup, United Grappling, the ABJJC Las Vegas Open, the Las Vegas Silver State Jiu-Jitsu Open and the NAGA Las Vegas Grappling Championship.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered in roughly equal measure, and around a fifth of events include kids divisions or an absolute division. Custom house rules are the most common ruleset, with some IBJJF events, and round-robin brackets are widely used. Adult entry is typically around $30–$121. Listings peak in January, with October, March, August and July also busy.
