Cardiff and Llanelli host most of the BJJ tournaments in Wales, with Newport and Penarth also on the calendar. The scene is small enough that competitors often travel between all four.
All Stars BJJ is the most frequent organiser, with All Stars BJJ Cardiff, Newport and Wales events. The Jitsuka Open (including an autumn edition) and Pro Sport Grappling's Newport Open are the other recurring competitions.
Events offer a mix of Gi and No-Gi, and some include kids divisions and absolutes. Entry fees vary by event, typically around £10–£50 for adults. October is the busiest month, followed by July and April.
