Boise hosts most of Idaho's BJJ tournaments, with Post Falls, Mountain Home and Rexburg holding smaller events. Meridian and Idaho Falls also appear on the calendar through state championships and United Grappling stops.
Grappling Industries Boise is the most frequent event, and Pro Open BJJ runs a recurring Boise tournament. United Grappling is the most active organizer overall, with events in Boise and Idaho Falls, while the Vital Brothers BJJ Championship, The Pit Challenge and Grappling X's Idaho State Jiu Jitsu Championship in Meridian also return regularly.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are equally common, each offered at close to six in ten events, and nearly half of events run kids divisions. IBJJF rules are the most common ruleset. Adult entry is typically around $30–$100. September is the busiest month, followed by August, with March, June and October also active.
