Boise is the busiest BJJ tournament city in Idaho, with events also held in nearby Meridian and Caldwell.
Grappling Industries Boise is the most frequent event, and United Grappling returns several times a year. Pro Open BJJ and The Pit Challenge are other regular organizers, and the Boise Championships have also been held here.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are both widely offered, more than half of events include kids divisions and close to half run an absolute. IBJJF rules are the most common ruleset, and round-robin brackets are widely used. Adult entry is typically around $30–$100. September is the busiest month, followed by June, then May, November and March.
