Grappling Industries runs recurring events in Virginia Beach and as Grappling Industries DMV. Other regular competitions include the NEWBREED Virginia State Championship, NAGA's Richmond Grappling Championship, the PBJJF Virginia Summer and Fall International Opens, Copa Virginia and the FUJI BJJ Virginia Beach Fall Championship.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered about equally, and close to four in ten events run kids divisions. Adult entry typically costs around $30–$95. November is the busiest month, followed by June, September, March and October.
