Roanoke hosts regular BJJ tournaments in southwest Virginia from two main organizers. NEWBREED runs the NEWBREED Roanoke Fall, Winter and Summer Championships, and FUJI BJJ holds the FUJI BJJ Roanoke Fall Championship and Spring Championship.
More than half of events offer Gi and No-Gi divisions, around a third include an absolute division and some include kids divisions. September and October are the busiest months, with occasional events in February, May and June.
