Xcite BJJ is proud to present the Xcite BJJ Championships 2026, taking place on Saturday, 21st November 2026, at Bellahouston Leisure Centre, 31 Bellahouston Dr, Glasgow, G52 1HH.
This event will follow the IBJJF ruleset (see below for exceptions) and utilise a system to ensure all competitors receive multiple matches whenever possible.

Division Details
White Belt (under 9 months training): IBJJF White Belt rules apply
White belt (standard): IBJJF White Belt rules apply. No competitors previously ranked above Grey Belt at junior level, nor Black Belts in Judo, national-level wrestlers, or MMA fighters at any level.
Blue Belt: IBJJF Blue Belt rules.
Purple Belt: IBJJF Purple Belt rules.
Brown Belt: IBJJF Brown Belt rules.
Black Belt: IBJJF Black Belt rules.
Age Categories
Juniors: Ages 4-15
Juvenile: Ages 16–17
Adult: Ages 18–29
Masters 1 & 2: Ages 30–39
Masters 3 & 4: Ages 40–49
Master 5: 50 and above
Competition Information
All kids, juvenile & masters matches will be timed as per IBJJF rules
All adult matches will be timed for 5 minutes
Competitors can wear any colour of Gi (Gis must fit as per ibjjf rules)
Double guard pulls are not timed (inactivity will result in standing restart)
Deliberate fouls will result in DQ (*whitebelts will be advised and reset where possible)
Weigh-ins will commence from 8:30am (test scales will be available)
Competitors entered in both Gi and No-Gi divisions will only weigh in once.
If a competitor has registered for only Gi or only No Gi, they will have to weigh in in the appropriate uniform for that division.
If a competitor has registered for both Gi and No Gi, they only weigh in once, in the uniform of their choice.

Available at all belt levels in both Gi and No-Gi.
Coach passes: 1 coach pass issued on arrival per 5 competitors, per academy.
(max 3 coach passes per academy)
Spectators: £5 on the door (cash only)
Team Award
🏆 Best Academy – Trophy awarded to the individual club scoring the highest number of points.
Registration & Event Policies
- Competitors may update their weight category through Smoothcomp until the published deadline.
- No changes can be made after registration closes.
- Competitors who fail to make weight will be disqualified from their division without refund.

After 23/10/2026 - registration closing: 100% credit for future event
After registration closes (15/11/2026): No refund or credit
Zero tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct from anyone - this can result in DQ, banning, and/or worse depending on the severity.
