US Open 2026

This year marks the 31st Anniversary of the U.S. Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. For over three decades, the U.S. Open has been one of the most prestigious events in the sport. We invite you to join us for this historic occasion, celebrate with us, and take part in one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year.

The U.S. Open 2026 Tournament will be held on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th, 2026 at Independence High School, 717 N Jackson Ave, San Jose, CA 95133, United States.

All Age Divisions from Kids, Juveniles, Adults, and Masters, - all belt ranks are welcome to compete.

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division. Every registered competitor will receive a complimentary tournament t-shirt.

Pre-Schedule

Kids will compete in Gi and NoGi on Saturday

Juveniles, Adults, and Masters will compete in Gi and NoGi on Sunday

This is not a final schedule and may change due to the number of competitors.

Bracket System

Our brackets are designed to provide 2 or more matches for willing participants in their divisions if possible. When brackets have 2 competitors, they will compete in a best 2 out of 3 to determine the champion. For brackets of 3 competitors, they will compete in a true round-robin and the champion will be determined by the number and types of wins. For brackets of 4 or more competitors, there may be 2 or more matches for each competitor. All competitors who do not have anyone registered in their division will automatically be awarded a gold medal.  We are NOT doing consolation matches at this event. More information will be sent to single competitors as the brackets are being completed.

Juvenile athletes will compete in their own division, but they’ll have the option to compete in the Adult division — as long as they meet belt and weight requirements and provide a signed waiver with parental authorization.
