The Finals close out the 2026 IN-HOUSE Tournament | Friendly Series.

This is the only Friendly Series event of the year offering BOTH Gi and No-Gi divisions β€” and every medal earned at The Finals counts DOUBLE toward the final 2026 team standings.

Whether this is your first competition or you have competed throughout the season, The Finals is designed to provide a professional, organized and family-friendly competition experience for kids, teens and adults.

The Friendly Series is organized by East LA Jiu Jitsu, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit jiu-jitsu school. Tournament proceeds directly support our nonprofit youth programs at East LA Jiu Jitsu and Boyle Heights Jiu Jitsu.

βš–οΈ WEIGH-INS

All athletes weigh in WITHOUT the Gi.

Rash guard and shorts are required at weigh-in.

No shirtless weigh-ins.

There is ZERO weight allowance.

Example:

An athlete weighing 90.0 lbs DOES NOT qualify for an 89.9 lb division.

If an athlete misses weight, they will automatically be moved to the next available weight class.

If an appropriate bracket does not exist, the athlete may also be moved up in age.

Moving DOWN in weight or age is only permitted before brackets are published and requires confirmation.

No downward division changes will be made on tournament day.

Athletes, parents and coaches are responsible for making sure the athlete is registered in the correct weight class.

A compression-style rash guard is REQUIRED for every athlete.

BOYS & MEN:

Shorts are required.

Leggings/spats may be worn underneath, but shorts must always be worn over them.

GI PANTS ARE NOT PERMITTED FOR NO-GI.

Shorts and leggings must have ZERO POCKETS.

Late registration is November 23 – December 1 at 12:00 PM: kids are $65 for one division or $100 for Gi + No-Gi; adults 18+ are $75 for one division or $120 for Gi + No-Gi.

What is the refund policy?

All athletes weigh in without the Gi, and rash guard and shorts are required.
