PEI MMA - Kids BJJ Tournament

Spectators - Please Note: Spectators will be charged a $5+hst entry fee at the door. This can be paid in cash or e-transfer to info@peimma.com - please show confirmation email to staff at the door.

Rules

Kids divisions, 8 years old and Under - No submissions permitted; points only. No body triangle for control or submission.

Kids divisions, 9 - 15 years old - IBJJF legal submissions for kids under 12 (no omoplatas, guillotines, pulling the head in a triangle, or anything below the waist). No body triangle for control or submission.

Kids divisions, 16 - 17 years old - IBJJF legal submissions for youth 16-17 except submissions below the waist. Body triangles for control are acceptable.  

*No jumping guard or jumping submissions from standing allowed at any age

Match Length

All matches will be 3 minutes long.

Weigh Ins

In order to manage our space, our 4-10 year old divisions will be competing from 9am-11:30am, and our 11-17 year old divisions will be competing from 12:15pm-until completion. Athletes in the 11-17 year old divisions can wait in the changerooms on the first floor prior to doors opening for their weigh ins.

4-10 Year Old Weigh Ins: 8:15-9:00am - All athletes will be weighed in wearing their Gi and will have a 1lb allowance.

11-17 Year Old Weigh Ins: 11:30am-12:00pm - All athletes will be weighed in wearing their Gi and will have a 1lb allowance.

Registrations

*Please ensure you have used a scale to take your athlete's weight prior to registration so that we can ensure all brackets are fair and accurate on the day.

Regular registrations are $40.00+HST per child and will be open until November 14th. Late registrations are $55+HST per child and will be open until November 25th.
