Bismillah.

Hikmah Youth is pleased to announce our first Girls Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open, taking place in shaa Allah.

Hikmah Youth is a house-based madrasa initiative focused on nurturing strong character, discipline, and personal development in young people through beneficial activities rooted in Islamic principles and inspired by the Sunnah.

Through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — a modern form of wrestling — we aim to provide young women with an opportunity to develop physical strength, confidence, resilience, self-discipline, and sportsmanship, while upholding the values of akhlaq, respect, humility, and excellence.

The Nusaybah Open has been created to give girls the opportunity to experience competition in a positive environment, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress while maintaining Islamic values and etiquette.

Registration: Approval-based registration

Format: Gi only

🌱 Event Aims

Our aim is to create opportunities for girls to participate in martial arts in an environment where they feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged.

The competition will focus on:

• Developing confidence and resilience
• Building discipline and perseverance
• Encouraging good character and sportsmanship
• Promoting respect, humility, and brotherhood/sisterhood
• Celebrating effort, dedication, and personal growth

🔒 Female-Only Environment & Privacy

The Nusaybah Open is a female-only event designed to provide a comfortable and respectful environment for all participants and attendees.

Many attendees observe hijab, and we want everyone to participate with confidence and peace of mind.

To maintain privacy:

• Mobile phones and personal recording devices will be secured in touch-screen lock pouches upon entry.
• Devices remain with attendees and can be accessed when required.
• Photography and filming inside the event area are not permitted.
• Official event photography will be managed by organisers under strict privacy guidelines.

We kindly ask all attendees to respect these arrangements so we can maintain a welcoming environment for everyone.
