The ADCC Celtic Championship returns to Dublin, bringing together grapplers from across Ireland and beyond under the ADCC Submission Fighting ruleset.

All competitors, parents, guardians and coaches are responsible for reading all event information, division criteria and rules before registering.

AGE DIVISIONS

Teens

Ages 15–17

Teen competitors may enter the dedicated Teen divisions.

Competitors aged 15–17 may also register for an Adult weight division with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

All Adult Absolute divisions are strictly 18+.

EXPERIENCE LEVELS

Adult and Masters competitors may register for:

• Beginner
• Intermediate
• Advanced
• Professional

Teen competitors may register for:

• Beginner
• Intermediate
• Advanced

Experience level is primarily determined by BJJ belt rank.

Competitors who do not hold a BJJ belt must register according to their total time training in grappling.

Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:

• Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
• Submission Grappling
• Wrestling
• Judo
• Sambo
• MMA
• Other grappling-based martial arts

Major competitive achievements and previous combat-sport experience may require an athlete to compete at a higher experience level.

FAIR COMPETITION & SANDBAGGING

All competitors must register at an appropriate experience level.

ADCC Ireland reserves the right to move an athlete to a higher experience division where their belt rank, training history, competitive record or experience in another grappling or combat sport indicates that the selected division is not appropriate.

This policy exists to combat sandbagging and help ensure that divisions are as fair and competitive as possible.

All competitors must leave their Smoothcomp profile set to PUBLIC.

Private profiles can prevent the organising team from accurately reviewing an athlete's belt history, training experience and previous competition results.

Competitors may be contacted before the event where further clarification is required.

Once an athlete has competed at a particular ADCC Ireland experience level, they may not subsequently move back to a lower level without prior approval from ADCC Ireland.

ABSOLUTE DIVISIONS

Beginner & Intermediate Absolutes

Paid Absolute divisions are now available to enter in advance through Smoothcomp.

Divisions are available for:

• Adult (18+) Male & Female Beginners
• Adult (18+) Male & Female Intermediates
• Masters (35+) Male & Female Beginners
• Masters (35+) Male & Female Intermediates

Masters 1 and Masters 2 competitors are combined for the Masters Absolute divisions.

Entry Fee: €35

Maximum Capacity: 32 athletes per division

You do not need to medal in your weight division to enter a Beginner or Intermediate Absolute.

The top three athletes in each Beginner and Intermediate Absolute division will receive Official ADCC Medals.

Professional Absolutes

Adult and Masters Professional Absolute divisions cannot be entered in advance through Smoothcomp.

Entry opens on the day of competition and is restricted to athletes who medal in their Professional weight division.

Professional Absolute entry is free for eligible medallists.

Professional Absolutes are available for:

• Adult (18+) Male & Female
• Masters (35+) Male & Female

Adult Professional Absolutes are strictly 18+.

Masters 1 and Masters 2 competitors are combined in the Masters Professional Absolute divisions.

Adult Professional Absolute Prizes

Adult Professional Absolute Champions receive:

• Official ADCC Championship Belt
• Cash Prize*

A minimum of 6 competitors must enter the relevant Adult Professional Absolute division for the cash prize to be awarded.

Masters Professional Absolute Prizes

Masters Professional Absolute Champions receive:

• Official ADCC Championship Belt

Cash prizes are awarded to Adult Professional Absolute Champions only.

MEDALS & AWARDS

Official ADCC Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each contested division.

Team and Academy awards will also be presented for:

• 1st Place
• 2nd Place
• 3rd Place

WEIGH-INS

Weigh-ins are available from 7:00AM.

Every competitor must be successfully weighed in and registered at least one hour before their first scheduled match.

There is no weight allowance.

Competitors must make the maximum weight of the division in which they are registered.

Adult and Masters competitors may remove their rashguard or T-shirt when weighing in.

Teen competitors must remain appropriately clothed during weigh-in.

Please allow sufficient time to complete weigh-in and registration before your division begins.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Doors Open / Weigh-ins: 7:00AM

Rules Briefing: 7:15AM

Competition Begins: 8:00AM

Individual match and division times will be available through Smoothcomp.

The Smoothcomp schedule is live and may change throughout the event.

Competitors are responsible for monitoring their own match times and mat assignments.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

5:00PM — Thursday 18th February 2027

All entries must be completed and paid through Smoothcomp before registration closes.

Competitors are responsible for ensuring that their:

• Age division
• Experience level
• Weight class
• Academy
• Personal information

are correct before the registration deadline.

REFUND POLICY

We offer 100% Smoothcomp coupon refunds until:

9:00 AM on Saturday 13th February 2027

Competitors who withdraw before this deadline will receive a Smoothcomp credit coupon for the full amount paid. The coupon may be used towards a future event within the following 2 years organised by us.

Cash and card refunds are not issued.

No refund or credit is available after the refund deadline.
