Event Schedule

  • Weigh-ins open: 7:45 AM
  • Rules meeting: 8:15 AM
  • First matches: 9:00 AM

Every competitor must be checked in, weighed in and have their equipment inspected no later than one hour before their scheduled first match.

Competitors are responsible for checking their published match times and arriving with enough time to complete these requirements.

.

Enter One, Two or All Three Disciplines

One of the main goals of Midlands Combat League is to give developing athletes more meaningful competition experience in a single day.

Where suitable opponents are available, we aim to provide competitors with at least two matches in each discipline entered.

That means:

  • Enter 1 discipline → aim for at least 2 matches
  • Enter 2 disciplines → aim for at least 4 matches
  • Enter all 3 disciplines → aim for at least 6 matches

For athletes developing across MMA, grappling and striking, entering multiple disciplines is a great opportunity to test different parts of their game under competition pressure.

Exact match numbers depend on registrations, withdrawals and the availability of safe and suitable opponents and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

.

Entry Fees

Adults & Masters

First discipline: €75

Each additional eligible discipline or division: €35

For example:

  • 1 discipline: €75
  • 2 disciplines: €110
  • All 3 disciplines: €145

.

Kids & Teens

First discipline: €55

Each additional eligible discipline or division: €25

For example:

  • 1 discipline: €55
  • 2 disciplines: €80
  • All 3 disciplines: €105

Discounts are applied automatically through Smoothcomp.

Entering multiple disciplines gives competitors the opportunity to gain considerably more competition experience across the day for a reduced additional entry fee.

.

Weigh-Ins

There is no weight allowance.

Competitors must weigh in wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

Anyone weighing above the maximum limit of their registered division may be moved to another suitable division where possible.

If a safe and suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the competitor may be unable to compete.

Competitors, parents, guardians and coaches are responsible for selecting the correct weight division and monitoring bodyweight before the event.

.

Smoothcomp Profiles & Experience

Every competitor's Smoothcomp profile must be set to public.

This allows the organisers to review previous results, competition experience, belt or grade history where relevant, and help create fair and appropriate matchups.

All training and competition experience must be declared accurately during registration.

Competitors may be moved to a more appropriate experience division where their previous training, competition record or achievements indicate that another division would provide a fairer matchup.

.

No-Headshots MMA

No-Headshots MMA gives developing athletes an opportunity to gain meaningful MMA competition experience without strikes to the head or face.

Divisions are available for:

  • Kids & Teens: Ages 8–17
  • Adults: Ages 18+
  • Masters: Ages 35+

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced divisions are available.

Matches combine controlled body striking, wrestling and submissions under age-appropriate rules.

  • Compete against appropriately matched opponents
  • Build confidence
  • Develop skills that transfer into higher-level competition

More matches. More experience. Better athletes.
