I am so grateful to have PMA in my hometown. Ken and Josh are extremely knowledgeable and it shows in every class I attend. I cannot imagine a more welcoming atmosphere that I now share with my kids who also love going to train. They have definitely created a family-friendly environment. I wish I had time to make it there more often!

Progressive Martial Arts is a wonderful gym full of amazing people and wonderful training. Ken and Josh Greer have created an atmosphere that offers everything from competitive MMA training to hobbyist jiu jitsu training suitable for all ages. I have taken part or had family take part in jiu jitsu, kid's jiu jitsu, striking and MMA training and have thoroughly enjoyed every second and would recommend to every and anyone. This is truly a family oriented gym that you will find whatever you are looking for training.

Progressive Martial Arts is one of the best gyms I’ve been to. When I visited Grand Forks, Ken, Josh, and the whole team made me feel like family right from the get go. While I was deployed up there for 4 months this year they helped me secure 2 MMA victories during my time and solely because the team they have, I’d gladly fly back for a week or two again just to finish off a fight camp. They have such a great training environment for everyone and they genuinely want to help everyone get better. Part of me wishes I lived in Grand Forks just for their gym. They have all types of beginner level courses for BJJ, advanced classes, MMA, and great kickboxing classes. If you are looking for a gym in ND, PMA is the way to go!

I have trained in many different gyms across the country and PMA is special. I found PMA while looking for a Judo dojo after moving to Grand Forks. Not only is the instruction effective, the atmosphere in the gym is second to none. Instructors keep students engaged and safe while maintaining a high level of competence. I will admit I have used parts of PMA’s instructional style in my own classes I teach. Ken and Josh are truly a gift to our community. PMA is much more interested in knowledge and the art of BJJ than anything else.

PMA has been, and is, a great place to learn all things grappling. Ken and Josh are phenomenal teachers and are welcoming of all no matter the experience level. PMA hasn’t been just another gym. It’s turned into part gym, part friendship, part sanctuary and a place I love to be. If you’re on the fence about if you should come train or not, take the leap! You won’t regret it!
