I’ve had a great experience training at this jujutsu gym. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping students improve, no matter their skill level. Classes are well-structured, with a good balance of technique, drilling, and open mats are always a blast! And Preston is an absolute stud super nice guy all around awesome coach!

I started training at GF BJJ almost 1.5 years ago when I started school at UND, and it has been a great decision. The gym is an incredibly welcoming family environment, and extremely technically sound for both self defense and competition BJJ. I wrestled in high school, and the instructors at GF BJJ taught me how to use my wrestling with BJJ to best compliment my game. I would highly recommend the gym to anyone, whether you are interested in competing, self-defense, or just to get a good workout in!

This is a great academy to train at! I travel a lot for work and whenever I’m in Grand Forks I always train here. Coach Preston has a fantastic teaching style backed up with years of experience. The classes are well structured and have an excellent curriculum. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. My son has trained here with me several times and he loves it too. ❤️❤️❤️

This place rules. If you’re looking to start training BJJ or Kickboxing, there’s no better place in the area. Small classes, knowledgeable instructors and friendly culture.

This is a fantastic jiu jitsu studio! The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, Preston especially, and they teach in a way that is structured and easy to follow! The general vibe is inviting, and it’s clear that the instructors care about their students well being as much as helping them to learn! I would recommend to anyone who practices and it looking for a great place, as well as anyone who is looking to start jiu jitsu, that you give this place a try!
