We have a daughter that joined in Grand Forks and she has flourished! Coming in as the only sister with four older brothers, we knew she could hold her own. What we didn’t realize was that she would find a confidence in herself that we didn’t think was there and a drive that she pulled out from deep inside of her! It has been a wonderful experience through and through! Photo of a few young ladies paving their own way with the help of BJJ!

BJJ academy has been amazing for my son (10 yrs). The instructors are great, and they focus on positive character development and good morals. I wish we would have started years ago.

Came through to roll while I was in town for a month. Loved this gym! Awesome vibe. Rob was so welcoming. Felt at home right away. Will definitely be back anytime I’m in Fargo!

I travel a good amount for work and visit a lot of jiu jitsu gyms in my travels. This gym was as welcoming as any, clean, a good size and family friendly to boot.
Over the years and travels I’ve learned that someone simply being a black belt or gym owner does not immediately come with the ability to teach well or have good morals, values or respect.
George is the type of black belt gym owner that you want. He’s welcoming and kind, patient and respectful. I went to open mat and then watched him teach a beginners class to a wide array of experienced students.. and George did so with the ease of someone with tenure and a talent in teaching. He was beyond friendly and sweet to the young kids and class while also being supportive and patient to the new students and showing some more experienced students a bit more.
If you’re living in Fargo and looking to start jiu jitsu, this is the place. If you’re traveling like me and looking for a good place to catch some great rolls and learn some different looks (shout out to black belts Dave for the fun rolls and new passes I’m taking home) this is the place. If I find myself back in Fargo, I’m going here: and you should too.

My two boys have been going here for almost 2 years and they love it! The coaches are awesome and so great with the kids. Everyone feels like family walking into the gym. Coach Preston and coach Kim are the best in the business to mold little jujitsu fighters!
