  Love this place. If your looking for more then just karate you cant ask for a better place then Shou Shu martial arts, my son has learned more than just self defense and has grown immensely as a young man. They teach humility, respect, and honor. My sons self confidence has grown so much with Shifu Alexis and team. It is such a hidden gem here in Moorhead and so Highly Recommend them.

  Shou Shu Martial Arts has truly been a blessing to my son and to myself. Being apart of this Martial Arts family has helped my son gain friendships, self defense and confidence. Being apart of this Martial Arts family has helped me feel a sense of belonging, and purpose. Alexis is an amazing person personally and on the mat! The way she is with her students is jaw dropping! I would highly recommend her and Shou Shu Martial Arts to anyone looking for comradery, self defense, and more!

  Our son has been with Alexis and her team for going on 4 years. Our son has gained self-confidence, leadership skills, self defense skills, and learned countless techniques. He has made friendships and bonds with students and teachers alike. Alexis is flexible with scheduling and even offers private lessons. Our son did private lessons during the pandemic, and continued them during the summer months. She can work with most schedules and budgets. We love the value and stability of the group classes as well! It is so beneficial to have an outlet to channel all that energy into positive, respectful behavior, and also to gain life skills and lessons. We love Alexis and all the teaching staff at Shou Shu Martial Arts!

  My daughter's started here this past month. Several lessons are being taught to them simultaneously without them knowing. Discipline, focus, respect, self-defense, honor, tradition, teamwork and self-reliance. They think they are attending martial arts classes but what's really happening is my daughter's are learning to be well-rounded humans while also developing a skill in Shou Shu. Shifu Alexis is a master not only in title, but in action. She masterfully passes her knowledge on to my children in a way that is engaging and impactful. I am satisfied beyond words in the choice to send my girls to this gym and I am a proud father as I watch them learn and grow under the watchful eye and respect commanding word of Shifu Alexis and her gym. 5 stars.

  Shou Shu Martial Arts is the best self defense you can every take! I have been with them since November 2017. Most of the techniques that you are doing are real life scenarios. What to do when an aggressive person attacks you? What to do if the choke you? What happens if they put you in a headlock? For kids, what happens if bullies do not stop when confronted, they may try to bully them and get physical with your kids. I have been a person who was bullied in the past. I don't want anyone, especially kids, go through that. Come try at least a few classes, come find me and some other of her students and ask us why we are in this class. I know that I am never going to worry about walking to my car alone in the dark. Are You?
