T&D Jiu Jitsu Academy is the best place for personal development associated with good practice of quality Jiu-Jitsu. Good atmosphere, safety, organization and hygiene are the strong points of the school.
This is an amazing place! The trainers are very qualified and caring. Children learn not only technical skills, but also how to be a good and kind person. It is unique! We go not only to group classes, but also to individual ones. Professor and Miss Dayse are amazing people! They also have classes for adults.
When first looking for a jiu-jitsu training facility for my daughter & son, we looked into a few of the larger/well-known gyms in San Antonio but after having them try a class at T&D BJJ we knew this was the place for them. Children are made to feel welcome & included here while also being held to high expectations. Professor Thiago is a book of endless knowledge and does a great job of explaining techniques & adjusting technique to all skill levels. Professors Thiago & Dayse display professionalism & warmth while also instilling values & work to equip their students to use jiu-jitsu as an avenue to persevere through life. (Because something is hard - do not quit. Because you are not good or the best at something - do not quit. If you are good or win - do not gloat, stay humble because there is always more to learn and improve on.) Professor Thiago shares information on the origins of jiu-jitsu, information about Brazil & teaches his students Portuguese vocabulary words - he is also fluent in Spanish. The energy here is peaceful yet invigorating at the same time. After watching my children train here for 3 months I could not sit on the sidelines any longer, so I joined as well, then my husband joined 2 weeks later. We all look forward to going to the gym & training as a family & have met many other kind families here. After every class, we feel accomplished, strong, & centered. I am grateful that we found T&D BJJ.

This is hands down the best service I could have done for my son, Professor Díaz and Mrs. Daisy teach these students which such grace and kindness , this is more than just your Jujitsu class , it’s family. I’m so blessed that we found this gem.

Many great things to say about T & D Jiu Jitsu Academy. When I first came to this academy I was out of shape and a little self conscious. However 7-8 months later I lost over 20lbs, learned many great skills and just became part a such a great community. I appreciate all the time, dedication and knowledge shared with me. T&D BJJ is home for us! The care, the love that they have for what they do, their Christian base teaching, their firm and educational methods are incredible. I am grateful for being able to have my children attending their classes! Wouldn’t change for nothing!! I drive 30+ min 3 times a week because I am confidant they are the BEST! My kid improved his behavior, it’s more focused and disciplined. He has a LOT of fun and his confidence goes to the roof because of what Thiago and Dayse do every week! We love you guys! This school is great for kids. The teachers are the owner and his wife and they both do their absolute best to teach the kids the basics of jiujitsu, and to teach them STRONG fundamental skills.
There are so many students with advanced belts that the teachers have seen since the student was a small child. The school is very simple and easy to keep organized and clean.
Along with the classes and the structure they run there is a definite community among the parents.
I would always highly recommend this school. My 11 year old son is currently in their older kids class and I am already planning to put my 9 year old daughter into the classes as well. (My opinion it should be a mandatory skill that all girls should learn).
First class is free and worth at least looking into.

My son competed in a jiu-jitsu competition this past weekend. His opponent was a student of T&D Jiu Jitsu.
Professor Thiago introduced himself to my son prior to their match, gave him encouraging words and showed heart felt compassion to both his student and my son after their match. He conducted himself with such grace and kindness, I feel compelled to provide this review.

The owners are absolutely amazing. My daughter has learned so much. Going here has given her more control over the fear of being a victim. She has the confidence now to be able to stand up for herself.
I’m so glad that I found this family and finally signed up! I have been to other places, mostly MMA gyms, that had good curriculums but the culture wasn’t a good fit. T&D truly is a family. The atmosphere is very welcoming for practitioners of all ranks and experience levels, and the training is top notch. If you’re looking for a great place to train and learn, come check us out!
Professor Thiago and Mrs. Dayse are amazing teachers. I was hesitant to start but they were so welcoming and encouraging. They focus a lot on technique and are extremely passionate in what they teach. Not only did they create a safe and comfortable environment to learn and practice jiu jitsu but they also created a T&D family that you can’t find anywhere else!
I have been training here since November of 2022 and I have to say I plan on staying with this academy. Professor Thiago and Coach Dayse have done a great job with building a Team they are very patient and JiuJitsu is there passion they will be involved through the whole class to make sure you are learning. I am 25 years old started Jiu Jitsu to help with my anxiety I have improved alot mentally and physically I am now addicted to being on the mats. I have tried other gyms but this academy is very clean very modern and above everything the professor really cares to make you better. Everyone here is very friendly and treat you like family! - sorry for a long review but If you are looking for a good academy where you will learn ALOT this is the one! :)

There is no bs and no egos; everyone here is friendly and takes care of each other as students grow and elevate their games. I’ve trained bjj for a couple of months. I went to a first gym and it was horrible. I still loved the sport the only issue was finding a good gym. I had my trial day here and I loved it. Thiago and Dayse are both extremely supportive and patient with all of their students. There’s so much 1 on 1 guidance and they don’t mind explaining anything whether it be fundamentals or something extremely complicated. They provide a clean, positive atmosphere which only motivates you more. They’re very understanding of anyone’s situation no matter the circumstance. It is genuinely the only gym I’d want to train at and the only gym I plan on training at.
I have trained BJJ since 2015-2016, at multiple academies over the years, in different cities and within San Antonio, TX. I had the privilege with training under great professors, and I can say without a doubt that the experience level, dedication, knowledge, and instruction at T&D BJJ is beyond approach. They are so caring for their students, everyone is treated like family, and all practitioners there take care of one another as family. I can say it's a great place to train to learn BJJ from a professional practitioner, competitor, and professor, Thiago Dias. My kids love to train there, and my entire family feels at home there. I recommend coming to the academy and checking it out if you are interested in learning BJJ in a clean, safe environment, a place with no egos,, with a professor that has a high level of BJJ experience. T&D BJJ Academy is outstanding for children! Coach Thiago works great with all the children, while his wife is excellent with the more timid or new children. Their husband and wife team is a unique approach to covering the needs of any child or experience level. My children are signed up for the two-year program and love every class.
My son has only been at T&D BJJ for a month or so but We’ve already seen a boost in his confidence. He looks forward to going every class and it’s all he talks about when he isn’t there. We will be putting our daughter in the program as soon as possible.
