  There is a reason we’ve been with Mr. Josh and Mr. Steve for five years. We love this academy and the traditional technique of Relson Gracie! Mr. Josh was taught by Relson himself and both Mr. Josh and Mr. Steve do a phenomenal job embodying the original roots of Brazilian jiu- jitsu. Mr. Steve teaches both my children in the junior class (5 and under) and he is incredibly patient, kind, and skillful in working with this age group. He was once a student at our academy and is now leading and teaching with Mr. Josh. Mr. Josh teaches the older kids and adults and there is a reason my husband continues to train with him. Not only is he knowledgeable in the craft of traditional BJJ, but he also is a mentor to our family outside of the academy. Overall, this is the place to learn BJJ all while having fun training in self-defense, sport, and competition (yes, this academy does frequent competitions and they’re so fun!). I believe there is a new “no gi” class offered to the adults too!

  We love our experience at Six Blades. My son has enjoyed his sessions on the match. All the staff are accommodating to all the age groups at the studio. They positively mentor and challenge the students to be their best. Thank you!!

  My son has been training at this gym going on 4 months and he loves it. The instruction is detailed and fun. Professor Steven does a great job with the kids. BJJ is different than the other martial arts, you aren’t able to pay your way up to the next belt. They actually teach you real world skills to apply in real life situations. My son has grown more confident since attending and looks forward to going. We also have access to all the classes they offer for kids. The atmosphere is friendly, instruction is top notch, gym is clean and it’s also affordable for unlimited classes. Highly recommend this bjj gym

  The atmosphere at Relson Gracie is unmatched. As soon as my family and I walked in we were immediately made to feel welcomed and greeted by Bianca- who was such a help on our daughter’s first day. She assisted us in finding a Gi, walked her into class, provided water and answered all of the questions we had. Now, let me preface this by saying our daughter is very reserved when meeting new people and we expected her to be a bit apprehensive about starting classes. Well all that went out the door as soon as she walked into class and was welcomed by Steve. She was introduced and quickly started following instructions and participating. She’s now attended a handful of classes and is asking about BJJ from the moment she wakes up. We’ve attended different BJJ Schools and I have to say that the teaching methods at Relson Gracie are top tier. We put our trust in this school, their professors and staff and look forward to seeing the discipline, integrity and dedication that the professors will help us instill in our daughter. Thank y’all for being awesome!

  Getting out of your comfort zone can be challenging, but rewarding. I am approaching my two year mark at the academy and I cannot believe how far I've come along my journey. I am fortunate and thankful for meeting the instructors Steve, John, Mike, Victor and the fellow students as well. This academy has so much to offer, dedicated instructors, a great community, relaxed environment, and the early morning to mid-day schedules. As the year draws to a close, I look forward to what opportunities and growth 2024 has to offer. Best wishes Steve!
