I ve been going a couple of weeks now , I’m in my 50’s and on the larger side. I thought I might feel ridiculous and people may laugh at me . But I have to say I love this so much . The staff are amazing they really make you feel comfortable and part of the group , no matter your ability. Kirsten helped reassure me from the word go and I’m not looking back. The groups are also so accepting of each other no judgement and that is such a positive part of it to. The instructors are amazing with all ages, genders and abilities , they make you feel empowered in yourself and they have great humour and delivery . I can’t rate them high enough. They help to rebuild self esteem and have a very positive impact . I’m so glad I took the step and went. They are clear and calm in teaching and make the whole thing a sweating but very productive and positive experience. I love it .
An amazing club my son has gone from strength to strength and gained so much in confidence, the instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable & very approachable.
Kickboxing is the highlight of my week, great team of people, 10/10 I recommend joining.
My son is really enjoying the Karate. I should mention about coach Lewis and the rest of the team for providing the amazing training and the patience towards the students.
My son has been attending Blackwell Academy for 3 and a half years and comes at least 4 times a week. I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff are amazing with every single person. Michael & Lewis have been a massive part of my son’s journey so far. Blackwell Academy hasn’t just taught my son karate. It has taught him confidence, social skills, strength & self belief. He comes out smiling after every lesson. Thank you for everything you all do!
Posted 1 year agoKids have been coming to Blackwell academy for a couple of years and absolutely love it. The instructors are friendly, encouraging and make lessons a lot of fun, whilst teaching excellent skills. Would definitely recommend!
Posted 1 year agoI gained my black belt at the Blackwell academy and still train there twice a week under the expert tuition of Martyn, Michael, Bob and Sean. I never miss an opportunity to do a Boot Camp or Technical course with Mick Blackwell who first taught me back in 1982. Excellent club 👊
Blackwell Academy is a fantastic service to all ages. It continues to build my sons confidence and allows him to achieve within many levels. You’re made to feel like family by Micheal and you are taught to a high standard.. Would highly recommend!
Posted 1 year agoMy son has been coming to Blackwell’s for over 6 years now since he was 4. He absolutely loves it and has grown in confidence. The instructors are amazing with him, very patient and supportive.
