My son and I took our first ever kickboxing class here. We had a great time at Unit 2. It was a great space and everyone was very welcoming.

Love this class, I started it for self defense but Kickboxing is such a wonderful workout and is now my favourite activity of the week! I love instructor Ryan and have taken most of his classes but they are all really motivating and sweet!

The BJJ classes are structured well, with a good mix of technique drilling and live sparring. The instructors really know their stuff and are dedicated to helping each student improve. They provide personalized feedback and are patient with beginners. I appreciate how each class builds on the previous one, gradually increasing in complexity. The atmosphere is very supportive; everyone encourages each other, which makes it less intimidating for newcomers. The kickboxing workouts are high-energy and engaging, and I find myself pushing harder every session. The instructors are passionate and motivate us to give our best each class session.

Unit 2 Fitness has been my home for almost 3 years and I am so grateful to Professor Jeff for creating a safe and comfortable space to learn, grow, and train hard. I noticed immediately (that he remembers everyone’s names from the first time he hears it and) the family culture of the gym. Professor Jeff is a great coach- From keeping the space immaculately clean to pairing everyone up with intention to pushing people to get better, to using different coaching styles purposefully and easing newer folks into it, I highly recommend him and this gym. Although I may train other places, this will always be my home gym.

I've waited almost a year to write this review because I wanted it to be based on real world experiences. I'm a BJJ Blackbelt under Rafael "Gordinho" Lima with 20+ years of training. While I'm entirely a hobbyist, due to life and work relocations I've trained at quite a few gyms throughout the years with some very big names in the sport. In early 2024 I signed up at Unit 2 Jiu Jitsu because it's very close to my new home in Atlanta. I'm glad I did. Unit 2 Fitness is a hidden gem in the Atlanta Jiu Jitsu scene and Jeffery Boudreaux is without a doubt one of the best Jiu Jitsu coaches I have ever trained with. His personalized and passionate approach reminds me very much of my own professor. He is an absolute wealth of Jiu Jitsu knowledge and is on the mats with his students every day. The latter is a trait that is becoming exceedingly rare for Jiu Jitsu school owners as the demands of scaling a business often outpace their ability to train. Not so at Unit 2. Training always comes first with the understanding that the training experience on the mat _IS_ the product. In this day and age of social media saturation and "content creation" it can be exceedingly hard to find a school that simply lets its jiu jitsu do the talking. Unit 2 is that school in Atlanta. The coaches care and are passionate about each student's individual game and development. The focus is entirely on no-nonsense competition proven Jiu Jitsu. It is an environment where it is easy to belong. You show up, you train, you're part of the team. I highly recommend Unit 2 to anyone in the Atlanta area that is looking for a school offering world class Jiu Jitsu instruction where you don't have to worry about tripping over selfie sticks, or being bombarded with non-stop e-mail campaigns trying to upsell you on random nonsense. Come train, you'll be glad you did!
