Just visiting with a day pass and we were made to feel welcome by Sophie, who showed us around and answered any questions. Clean and tidy gym with a varied set of machines and free weights. Happy we chose this place. To note: please install a water fountain. This is a bare minimum.

Roses are red, violets are blue, Sometimes I pop into UltraFlex… just to use their loo. Let that sink in for a minute. “But JJ, don’t you have other toilets you could use?” Exactly. That’s how welcoming UltraFlex is. A brother’s in a time of need, and they’re there with open arms like, “Come on in, we’ve got you.” Sure, the equipment is the best in the business, and the staff somehow look like the love child of Brad Pitt and Jason Momoa. But it goes deeper than that. It’s a place you can call home. Where you can get a 10/10 workout, and drink as many White Monsters as your heart desires. As always, if you’re coming over from The Gym Group or PureGym, please remember to wash your hands before entering. Hopefully you’ll say yes to life and sign up. Never play yourself. One love. Ja Rule.

The gym has plenty of equipment for strength training and cardio. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the gym is generally clean. The down side is groups of young lads hogging benches and machines at peak times

I have been a member at this gym for two years. The equipment is fantastic and you’re rarely waiting long for a machine. The quality of the gym is generally fantastic. The staff used to be incredibly friendly and welcoming, but the atmosphere has changed since changing management. The music is far too loud (despite everyone attempting to listen to their own music through headphones). The car park is often absolutely full despite the gym being empty, as people use the car park to go into town. A notice was made about it but nothing has been done. Despite a three strikes policy, plates are often left on machines after they’ve been used. This used to be heavily enforced and was a really good policy, but doesn’t seem to have been maintained. The gym is freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer, but little can be done about it understandably due to the building. It’s a fantastic gym overall for the equipment but a very high membership fee given the other issues.
