I previously gave a negative review because I felt the grey belt division children were staying in that category for too long and competing against newcomers with much less experience. Since then, I’ve seen very positive changes and much better outcomes, so I’ve decided to change my review to 5 stars. The children consistently achieve excellent results, which clearly reflects the hard work and dedication of the coaches and everyone involved. Congratulations, guys — keep up the great work!

I have three children who have been attending RT for over two years now, and it has truly become a second home for our family. It feels like an extended family where the children are supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. The head coach, Renato Tarullo, is not only a coach to our children but a true life mentor. He has helped my two older boys develop respect, discipline, and focus—values that have carried through into their everyday school life. Both boys do very well academically and are well respected by their peers and teachers, and much of this is thanks to the way Renato teaches and treats the children. Renato is extremely experienced and has an exceptional ability to understand exactly where each child is at. He works closely with them at the right level, helping them grow in confidence, skill, and character while continually supporting their development and improvement. If you’re considering a martial art or jiu jitsu for your children, this is truly the best place for them.
I'm a black belt with 22 years training. I consider myself very lucky to have found and been welcomed in to a club like RTBJJ. Having trained at some of the most prestigious gyms in the UK and abroad, I can vouch for RT as a friendly, safe environment with wonderful instruction, a superb culture and some very good rolls! My son has also been attending the kids classes for over a year, and they're safe, engaging and he loves being there. I look forward to us both calling RTBJJ our BJJ home for years to come.
My son absolutely loves RT-BJJ. The coaches are amazing with kids, and the environment is supportive, safe, and welcoming. He’s grown in confidence, discipline, and skill—and he truly feels like this team is his second family. Highly recommended!
Have tried a few places previously but none as welcoming and friendly as RT! Claire and Renato have built a great community. Wish I started sooner

We are so thankful that we found this club as it’s now become a massive part of our family life. A review from my son - ‘I feel like I have found my passion in life and I couldn’t have found it in any other club. I have lots of friends there who train with me and I have an AMAZING coach who inspires me to be the best version of myself. I am really happy there and love to train. I started my BJJ Gi journey here and it was a very welcoming and professional environment. Renato is a great teacher and I would recommend anyone, of any BJJ ability, try out this gem of a gym.

As an older learner carrying more than a few injuries, I have to be careful where I train, but this gym is a great place to learn. No egos. Really supportive group of students, all helping each other become better, and a great training vibe. Highly recommended 🙏🏻
Posted 2 years agoMy son has been training at RT-BJJ for a year and a half and he loves it. Renato is an amazing coach, great for kids and adults alike. I’ve just started training myself and really enjoy the lessons.
