Red River Judo is by far one of the best establishments we have been apart of. Our two boys started and were in for a year and the sensei Steven took a chance on our youngest. She was before the age of starting and has been so great with All three. We have felt very supported and have enjoyed being apart of the whole experience. He has a great way of balancing discipline while understanding kids and meeting them where they are at. We fully intend to continue the journey and allow our kids to grow in this art.

Daughter has been attending for almost 3 years now and she has grown a lot since that first day. Awesome group of people dedicated to helping each other learn and advance in the art. Great environment, excellent instructors, very positive experience - check it out!

Red River Judo has been such an amazing experience so far!! All of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about what they do. They take the time to work with each student individually while still keeping classes fun, engaging, and structured. I have a 6 year old girl who is hyper and stubborn and the patience that has been shown to her has been such a relief to me as I was nervous coming in! The environment is welcoming and supportive, whether you’re brand new or have experience. I’ve especially loved seeing how much confidence, discipline, and respect the students build through their training. If you’re looking for a place that teaches not just judo but also life skills, this is it. Highly recommend to anyone considering getting started at any age level!

Wonderful place to learn or practice Judo and Japanese Ju-Jitsu. Wonderful instructors, great explanations and overall a 10/10 dojo would highly recommend!

Red River Judo is an outstanding place for both beginners and experienced students. Sensei Steve has a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome the moment they walk through the door. He creates an inclusive, respectful environment where kids are not only engaged but also challenged in meaningful ways that build confidence and discipline. His teaching style blends technical expertise with patience and encouragement, making classes both structured and fun. It’s clear that Sensei Steve cares deeply about each student’s growth on and off the mat. Highly recommended for families and individuals looking for a supportive, professional, and inspiring dojo.
