My son started at PGMA almost a year ago. We went for a free class and felt right at home. My son had no previous experience and it is incredible how fast he learned and developed his skills. All the instructors are excellent, they take the time to get to know each kid and teach and communicate accordingly! It is not just a martial arts studio, it is a family a community ready to take you in!!! There are clases every day, in house tournaments every month or so and the price is very reasonable!!! PGMA it’s truly the best in the area.

Both of my children absolutely love Punta Gorda Martial Arts. My son has been attending for over a year and a half, and my daughter just joined last month. All the instructors are so supportive of the children while still maintaining discipline and respect in a safe and constructive way. I feel it is very important for the kids to have this great influence with the instructors and their peers. We couldn't be happier being part of the PGMA family!

I usually just go to a regular gym been to a few boxing gyms I love working out and learning new things. A friend highly recommended this gym to me so I tried it and they put me to work on the first day. Alexander is a great trainer definitely will be back

I have been training at PGMA for a little over 18 months now and I can honestly say that joining this Academy has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Coach Tony, has created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere and I have made some great friends since I started training. I would highly recommend Punta Gorda Martial Arts to anyone in the Charlotte County area who is interested in self development and learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Highly recommend this gym. We have been apart of this family about 2 years. The coaches are amazing, they truly want every student to succeed to their fullest potential. My son has been going there for five months. This boy has gone from zero experience and skill to an avid student. He is now self assured and his skills have improved beyond my expectations. The difference is the dedication that the coaches put into it. I have seen them mold this boy slowly but steadily with compassion. Tony and his staff are amazing. The beauty of this place is that the camaraderie between all the students and staff create a wonderful positive learning environment.

I’m a 59 year old Vet who has been training for many years and has attended many DoJos, and this school has the best Vibe of any that I’ve attended. Tony is a totally awesome instructor who is patient with the kids as well as older students like myself. You can tell that he truly enjoys teaching. The place is very laid back with great camaraderie with everyone.

I contacted the center for a drop in to keep my progress in muay thai while I was in Florida visiting my parents. Those 90 minutes were hella tough and I learned so much in that one class. A really friendly environment and the space was nice and open with high ceilings. I wish I was here long enough to take another class. Next time I come down, it'll be my number one priority to come back. Very grateful for the experience!!!

I love rolling at this gym when Im in town visiting. Great group of friendly people. After we get done rolling we all go out to eat together to better establish relationships and discuss jiu-jitsu. Its small and the teachers take the time with each student to perfect the techniques. The BEST PART is after we get done rolling before we head to eat we have time for open mats to roll with other athletes until we are actually tired instead of other gyms that stop training once the classes are done.
