Man I don’t know where to begin. I received my black belt last year from GM Relson Gracie. I didn’t want my grappling training to become stagnant, so I looked around trying to find an academy that would take my training to the next level. I have been at Phantom since the doors opened and it has been a great place to grow as a JJ practitioner. Frank is the real deal and I am very grateful that he focuses on teaching the fundamentals by repetition and understanding “invisible” Jiu Jitsu. I started here about 3 1/2 months ago after moving up to Virginia from South Florida. I tried about 5-6 gyms in the area , called Phantom to get a vibe check and immediately all green flags. I came in for training that night and I was convinced this was the right place to train. Before moving out to the Arlington area I was staying in Culpeper for a few weeks and still making the 1 1/2 hour drive out just to get a day pass because the training is that next level. Franks level of communicating and training is pretty unmatched. I’ve trained all over south Florida at top gyms, and around Central America and coming to Phantom was the first time I’ve experienced a real shift in how I understand what’s being taught. All in all, it’s a great environment with top training and kinda just a kickass place. 10/10 if you’re visiting or want to try it out this should be your first stop

One of the best academies that I’ve trained at. It’s super clean and Professor Frank is extremely proficient at teaching all of the techniques of jiu jitsu. It’s a super clean gym, the community there is awesome. They’ve only been open about a year and a half but are just about to move to a location about twice its current size. No doubt very soon they will be one of the largest/most successful academies in the area. OSS!!🥷

If you are in the Maple Valley area, this is the place to bring your kids or yourself to learn / train Jiu Jitsu. Bingo is an OUTSTANDING black belt and person. He is IBJJF certified and comes from a legit lineage of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu martial artists, receiving his black belt many years ago from James Foster (Foster's BJJ) by way of Giva Santana (google it). Bingo and his team are excellent with kids and adults alike. You will receive excellent instruction, will get in shape, improve your confidence, and learn how to defend yourself. I am speaking from personal experience. I attended this academy from 2016 - 2021 before moving to Texas, achieving the rank of purple belt. One of the best decisions I ever made was walking through those doors for the first time. Try a class - you won't be disappointed.

Although this is a great place for anyone to start learning jiujitsu, I consider this place high level, as everyone who trains here are literal ninjas because of his teaching style. Tried out multiple jiu jitsu academies before starting with Frank. Phantom jiu jitsu academy is 100% next level. I’m a beginner and have been consistently attending franks fundamentals class. Frank spoke to me about and continues to speak about the importance of fundamentals and this has been huge for me and others. Trust him, his process and his curriculum. Franks background is incredible and on top of that he has an education degree. He’s the best instructor I’ve come across. His classes are safe, fun, informative and competitive. On top of that the culture at the gym is welcoming, friendly, safe and educational. Whether you want to compete or just learn jiu jitsu for fun/self defense/exercise, or as a hobby, phantom jiu jitsu is the school to go to.

Phantom Jui Jitsu is the second Academy I've gone to in northern Virginia and it will be the one I stick with as long as possible. Frank is incredible at BJJ, and teaches in a very understandable and efficient way. He breaks down concepts to their fundamentals so you can incorporate them into your game systematically, so that you're not just learning a series of moves but also how to improve your BJJ. I've been at this academy for about 5 months and will remain here indefinitely. I've felt safe as a white belt and haven't been exposed to anything dangerous, as Frank emphasizes safety and control while improving your game. Frank is also very friendly, and his passion and care for Phantom as well as teaching BJJ is obvious. 5/5, if you're near Herndon Virginia definitely check this place out
