We decided to try out this branch of Caio Terra because of the 100% rating, we were not disappointed; the coaches are knowledgeable, experienced, and have attention to detail. The teaching is highly technical and the coaches are genuine. Especially great for attendees who want to compete.

Coaches Youness and Rachid are extremely knowledgeable and attentive instructors. In their kids classes, they ensure that kids have a sound grasp of technique, paying attention to each student’s strengths, needs and learning style. They also ensure the kids have fun while also learning the importance of discipline, competitiveness and sportsmanship. This is an excellent place to bring your kids if you want them to get mentally and physically strong, learn a martial art, have fun with other kids, and gain confidence. Also kids at this academy who want to compete get a lot of additional guidance and support from the instructors who, in addition to their vast technical knowledge, bring deep experience with competition strategy, mindset and preparation.

I just started training here and I really love it! The gym is a bit hidden, located behind the Wingstop off Route 7. Every person I've met here has been super kind and helpful. The instructors, Rachid and Youness, are amazing. I'm so glad I found this place! - Andre

As someone with years of experience in BJJ and who has trained at many different gyms, I can say CTA Sterling is one of the best gyms I’ve trained at. Coach Youness and Coach Rachid have high-level technical knowledge. What sets them apart is their focus on details. The training environment is welcoming yet competitive. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or continue their BJJ journey!

This place is a hidden gem. My husband joined it 3 years back and he just loves it. Coach Youness is wonderful and makes sure everyone is getting what they need, he is passionate for what he does. Being so happy and content with the academy, we enrolled our daughter as well. She marks her calendar and looks forward to going to her BJJ classes and she is 5! which says all about the trust and pleasant ambience this place provides.

I have been attending CTA Serling for more than a year now and my experience has been incredible. Coach Youness is very professional and knowledgeable in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and helps his students attain the same. He is meticulous in his approach and dissects each technique in detail for his students. His passion for teaching BJJ is unmatched. Besides the coach every one at the place is very welcoming and supportive. If you are a beginner or want to take your BJJ to the next level, this is the place to be!

I've been training at CTA Sterling for a little less than a year and I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience. I was purposely looking for a BJJ school with a close-knit family feel and I found that at CTA. The instruction and workouts are top-notch, and Coach Youness and my training partners have really helped me take my jiujitsu to the next level.

Coach Youness is a gem, professional and super technical. He does float like a butterfly and stings like a bee or a cobra or mamba, endless possibilities. Institutions like CTA Sterling under Coach Youness are rare finds. Coach Youness’ command over Jiu-Jitsu is phenomenal, his technique is swift, overall martial arts at this institute is just amazing. The curriculum is designed to set up the students for success. Words won’t do it justice, go check it out for yourself. The environment created is one of shared learning and par excellence. - شمس

A hidden gem in Sterling. No matter if you are a kid or an adult, a first timer or an OG, 2 things are for sure going to happen. 1. You are going to get top quality instruction from coaches that compete. 2. You are going to have fun and make some long standing friendships.

CTA sterling has been an amazing experience, I have trained at many other schools and this one hands down has been the best. The curriculum is steady and easy to follow, it’s well thought out and links many techniques together as you progress toward more advanced levels in jiujitsu. Coach Youness is very professional and is very technical with his coaching/training. I feel my BJJ has grown more in 5 months then it has in the last 4 years. I Can not say enough about how happy I am with CTA and CTA sterling. Oss 🤙🏼

I typically don't write reviews for martial arts gyms I go to, but this place was special. I was tired of the gym with overly aggressive classmates that would crush my ribs, being confused with a non-systematic approach to working from the fundamental techniques, and a culture that did not feel welcoming. It was hard for me to commute to the previous martial arts gym, so I had been referred from a friend to take a trial the class. Inside I met the head instructor Youness, he's a great guy who's very welcoming and has very strong values for a healthy martial arts community. He guided me towards steps to achieve the goals I wanted to tackle, answered any question without any BS, built an environment where people don't crush your ribs in your first few classes, and worked on the core fundamentals. It's a reasonable price to start since they just opened last year and are basically like private lessons (I'll take full advantage while it's like this). I highly recommend Youness's gym and for it to be a Caio Terra Affiliate because it's a regarded gym that doesn't just promote anyone.

Great academy with a caring instructor that will help your kids transform from being the timid kid to one with great confidence and skill. Coach Youness has many years of experience in the Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilians jiujitsu field and he makes it his mission to help your kid(s) transform for the better. Come give his academy a try.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Caio Terra Academy in Sterling. Our children have attended the after school program since the beginning of this school year. The after school program is centered around jiu-jitsu practice, but the instructor also includes other physical activities and time for homework, customized for the needs of each student. Our son in particular has really taken to jiu-jitsu, and it's been great for him, not only for his physical development but for his motivation, confidence, and social development. He really looks forward to going every day, and this is from a kid who previously had little interest in other sports. If you're looking for a good activity for your kids, DEFINITELY give it a try!!!

My boys and myself have learned a lot from Coach Youness, he is a very patient, genuine, and knowledgeable individual. They really enjoy coming to the classes, each session entails a technical lesson/review, practice, and a fun game for the kids towards end of the session. I have seen a lot of personal growth for both of my boys, physically and mentally, thanks Coach Youness!

This is an excellent place to practice and or learn Jiu Jitsu and self-defense. The place is well maintained and most importantly super clean. The area needed a place like this badly. I attended multiple sessions and the instructors were very patient and informative. Class sizes were also good and they included a variety of levels. It's a good place to start oneself on a path for learning a great sport and lifelong skills. Keep it up please.

Coach Youness is a professional MMA fighter who comes from an elite lineage of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and he takes pride in teaching his techniques that have helped him be successful in competition. Off the mats, he is kind man, but on the mats he will push you to learn this technical and physically demanding sport such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. I really enjoy coming to this gym, it is new and clean, the teammates are friendly, and the workouts are never the same which is getting me in the best conditioning I’ve ever been in. If you’re interested in getting into BJJ or MMA this is the perfect place since as a new gym, you can be part of an original team.

Coach Youness is a great martial art instructor who has a passion to teach. It is my great fortune to get to know him in person and train with him. Before meeting him, I have already been training Brazilian jiu-jitsu for many years. But training with Coach Youness gives me the opportunity to note the details that I didn’t know before and motivates me to re-learn the fundamentals. I also get the chance to study modern techniques, such as x-guard. Furthermore, the curriculum developed by the legendary Caio Terra contains techniques that are modified from conventional ones (e.g., arm-bar) and are highly effective, which has been an eye-opening experience to me. Coach Youness is also an expert in mixed martial arts (MMA) and can teach self-defense and striking arts (e.g., kickboxing) as well. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who is interested in martial arts and fitness.
