I’ve recently started training Muay Thai at PDMA Southend with Callum, and it’s honestly been an amazing experience. His attention to technique is outstanding he takes the time to make sure everyone understands the “why” behind everything he teaches, and helps you improve in a way that feels empowering and achievable. What really stands out is how much Callum genuinely invests time and care into every single person he trains. He’s not just a great coach, he’s someone who makes you feel seen, supported, and capable. I’ve formed a genuine friendship with him through training, which says a lot about the kind of person and coach that he is. The whole PDMA community is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and since joining the mixed classes (which I found incredibly daunting and overwhelming to even think about doing to begin with), I’ve met so many lovely people. My confidence has grown massively, and I genuinely look forward to every session. Couldn’t recommend PDMA and Callum more highly!

I started with PDMA in January of this year following a trip to Thailand and wanting to give Muay Thai a go I have come as a complete novice with 0 martial art experience beyond boxercise classes. But from day 1 Callum and the team have treated me with patience and openess. I started off as a complete novice and now am capable of.golding my own in many sparring sessions and feel myself inepcing every time. The atmosphere at every class is one of comradship and genuine friendship. We are all there to helo everyone else improve. This is a great departure from previous experiences I have had. I now do 2 PTs and week as well as regular classes and the Seminars and I am probably the fittest I have ever been. I cant recommend this club enough

I've been training at pdma a few months now. Where do I start.I wanted to work on ky cardio vascular levels but couldn't get into the mundane training of running or using cardio equipment I just found it boring but a friend of mine recommended I tried training at pdma with him so I went one evening and haven't looked back since and it's now my favourite training day of the week along side lifting. The class has a brilliant balance between cardio based body weight training at the start and then focusing on muay thai training and practice and every session I'm leaving knowing I have had a hard workout and training session not to mention what I have learned from muay thai and noticed in a short period of time my technique and cardio vascular levels have drastically improved. The mixed bunch who train there weekly are all very friendly and couldn't say a bad thing about anyone.Callums approach to coaching the classes is well thought out, and I can't flaw it.Facility's are decent and he has a load of spare equipment you can use for the classes if you are just staring out and I have even taken my little one along as she's just sat and chilled while dad has trained.A mixed range of different classes for all genders and ages.Open matt days availableOne to one coaching is available.Good parkingRefreshments sold on site.Southend street gym located next doorCan attend that for calisthenic training prior to pdma.
