Dropped in to train while passing through Atlanta. Welcoming staff and helpful trainers. Will definitely be back to train again.
Outstanding instruction from old-school and new-school instructors that won't hold you back and with thoughtful, helpful students that will keep you safe. New mats and showers to keep everyone clean and healthy. Now offering Muay Thai classes for excellent combat knowledge also.
Nice gym, nice instructors, lots of tips given during rolls and instructors stick around for questions after class!
Awesome school. Extremely nice and welcoming. Leg lock experts!
Great place and excellent instructors! Very welcoming! Krystal (black belt) is not only highly skilled but is also very patient and kind and empowering to everyone!
Visited on vacation. Great classes. I liked the positional live rounds and open discussion format. If I lived in Atlanta I would be here everyday 10/10
I've been training here for a year now. The team and coaches are great, and the facility is top
I stopped in for the 6 a.m. All Levels jiujitsu class and couldn’t be happier!! Everyone was very welcoming and the instruction was top tier. They had a lot of class options to pick from on their schedule which is great for anyone wanting to drop in!! I had several really great rolls!! The gym was extremely clean and well taken care of!!! Can’t recommend enough!!
The culture at my previous academy had started to sour. I felt myself feeling unmotivated to train—like I was lost, without a home. A friend and training partner of mine had joined Odyssey several months ago and had nothing but good things to say about the team. So when I finally pulled the rip cord and got out of what I’ll generously term a bad situation, it only seemed natural to reach out to Greg Sirico and join as well. Greg has been nothing but incredible since I’ve hopped on board. He’s very knowledgeable, kind, and loves jiu jitsu as much if not more than anyone I know. He goes above and beyond for his students and has helped reinvigorate my drive to train and compete. If you’re looking for a top notch jiu jitsu academy run by top notch people—join Odyssey ✅ you’ll be happy you did!
Great place to train! Well maintained and very clean.
I’ve been training at Odyssey for almost 3 months as a female white belt. Whether you’re looking to compete, just a hobbyist or looking to get in shape, there is a place for you at Odyssey. Being fairly new I have noticed some things about this gym that sets it apart. The selection of talent at Odyssey is something you won’t find at many gyms in the south east. As a female, it’s rare that I’m ever in a class without another female to roll with. We have many talented women that train and compete, something you don’t find at many gyms. The coaches are just phenomenal. Sometimes you’ll get a professor who is great at the sport but terrible at teaching. That is not the case at Odyssey. I have noticed that every professor has a natural ability to teach and makes it easy for their students to learn. However, the students of Odyssey may be what makes it great. I have never been a part of a more welcoming and inclusive group of people. They keep me coming back class after class. Greg has really fostered an amazing community at Odyssey. It’s because of the coaches, students and their passion that has made me fall in love with the sport of BJJ.
Odyssey is hands down the best team I've been apart of. The coaching is high level, the rolls are tough, but most importantly the team mates are like family.
I know the coaching personnel here has spent time under the best in the world! You’ll be in good hands
I’ve learned more about leg locks in the last 3 classes at Odyssey than I’ve learned in the last 2-3 years. Their attention to detail and the commitment to each individual student and their game is phenomenal. I can’t thank the coaches enough for letting me drop in and train on such short notice. I’ve had a great time so far and I look forward to more training sessions in the future.
Great gym, very welcoming!
Super welcoming staff and a great space to train
Great class today with Coach Mike. We were in town for work and he was nice enough to let us drop in and take a morning class. Very nice gym with a cool crew and good coaching 🤙
Very clean gym with good environment! Absolutely will recommend!
Odyssey has an amazing group of coaches and the vibes are top notch. They take a personal interest in their students and work hard to develop them as fighters and humans. Greg and Brandon have a deep knowledge of the sport and are brilliant in explaining the how and the why of the technique they are teaching. Amon is an excellent instructor and his classes are not to be missed. Campbell runs an awesome kids program and keeps the classes fun and educational. If you want to develop your game, learn to be a better fighter, and do it in a place with a lot of super cool folks, Odyssey is the place.
Odyssey has mastered the art of excellent instruction with a warm environment. Our son (11 years old) has been training jiu jitsu for 5 years, so we have quite a bit of experience with jiu jitsu kids programs. Odyssey has some of the best instructors I have ever seen, and we have been in some elite gyms. They are clear communicators, encouraging, and supportive while maintaining a high level of expectation for the kids. All the kids get a lot of individual attention. They manage all that while having a lot of fun. The energy in this gym is amazing. We are so grateful to be here. Special shout out to Professor Brandon, Professor Greg, and Coach Campbell, who have all invested in our son.
I’ve known Greg (Owner) for almost 10 years now, and I cannot recommend him and his school enough. Not only are his facilities great, but he’s also fostered an amazing learning environment that’s developed some amazing competitors on the mat. I’m a brown belt, and even so, some of his guys gave me incredibly tough rolls. That said, everybody was nice and made sure to make me feel welcome as a visitor. Whenever I’m in Atlanta, this will be where I come to train.
I've trained at many gyms. The culture is different here. Very welcoming and safe. Knowledgeable. And fun! No egos. And not cultish like other gyms. Highly recommended!
A great place to train and focus on working on your skill level instead of just rolling I like the fact that you can go at your on pace and no pressure on competing
Just dropped by for a no gi class about an hour ago. As a visiting purple belt, I cannot recommend this gym enough, the instruction was professional and extremely in depth. Some of the detail was game changing for me. The facilities were clean and other members were friendly and extremely proficient too. Definitely recommend dropping by.
My BJJ gym closed down and Odyssey took me and my teammate in with open arms. The instructors are very detailed, and the students here have been very welcoming. A great place to train for competitors and for hobbyist.
Was in town for a conference and wanted to train so I went Odyssey Jiujitsu! Best gym to stop in and train at if you’re visiting! The coach is amazing, everyone was welcoming and inviting, and the have a ton of women who train there! It was nice to visit a gym that had over 10 girls in a class that were super nice and great to train with! If I lived in Alanta this would be my gym of choice!
Was visiting ATL and this was the closest gym to the hotel I was staying in. Went to NoGi 6 am class and is did not disappoint. Great space, extremely clean and organized. Had a solid class. Strong recommendation if you are in town.
Came into town for vacation but still wanted to train. Looked up gyms and found Odyssey BJJ. Booked a class and had a great time. Worked on some techniques and had great rolls. I highly recommend!!
Greg is an absolute legend, he’s a fellow Marcelo Garcia black belt and all around super nice guy. My son is currently at his school for a camp and feels like he’s at home. Thank you guys for the warm welcome and support.
Definitely a great gym that makes you feel like your apart of a family! Professor Greg, Professor Brandon, and the coaches do a fantastic job putting together a curriculum that makes since and flows. All in all, great professors, coaches, and teammates.
Dropped in for open mat and man what a great place. Very friendly. Got in some awesome rolls! They got the skills. Highly recommend
I’ve been taking my 6yr old son here for about 6 weeks. He’s a bit on the timid side but Couch Campbell is absolutely amazing and very patient. This is a real jujitsu gym. It’s not a McDojo. The kids aren’t wasting time with unrelated games. Couch Campbell is teaching and drilling technique the whole time.
I enrolled my child recently and absolutely love everyone’s professionalism! My kid started at age of 2 with Karate and I couldn’t wait to switch to Jiu Jitsu. I researched many places within my area and glad I decided for Odyssey. What a great sport and community!
Amazing atmosphere with some amazing people. Not only is the gym full of some great practitioners, they’re also the friendliest folks as well. Highly recommend
Odyssey is a hidden gem. They haven’t even been around for a super long time and are already growing fast. Great technical classes, great competition team, awesome coaches and training partners. You should definitely train there.
Started training there recently and hands down one of the toughest (and friendliest) rooms I have been in.
I've been training here for a little over a month now and my experience so far has been great. I was graciously welcomed by staff and students my first day walking in. Every thing about this establishment is what you would want in a jiu-jitsu gym. The coaching is top notch and the level of the room is very high and competitive but culture isn't toxic, just all around good vibes. Greg Sirico clearly loves what he does and is a fanatic about jiu-jitsu, which is what you want in a head coach. He's very open minded and giving with his knowledge and techniques. I mentioned to Greg that a bunch of my teammates and I where going through a difficult time after our home gym was closing and we didnt know what our next step was going to be. He opened up his doors to me and all of my teamates to train without pressure to sign up for a membership or pay mat fees while we searched for a new home. I thought it was extremely generous of him considering I was not receiving the same welcome at other gyms in Atlanta. In my opinion this is what jiu-jitsu is really about!... Helping out other practitioners when in need, on and off the mats. I'm glad I found this place, I couldn't recommend it more. Two thumbs up👍🏽👍🏽.
Every time I have visited their gym for an open everyone was so nice. Great gym to visit. It’s always fun to go and meet new people, share ideas, and just have fun rolls.
Excellent gym. Great coaches, atmosphere, and people. Highly recommended
This is my first time doing Brazilian Jiujitsu and it was super intimidating to walk in the door (especially as a 40 year old), but the staff and students have been great in making me feel welcome, learn good form, and practice in a safe and welcoming space. I’m so glad that I found this place!
While visiting Atlanta I did a 3-day stint at this gym, and really liked it. The gym is spacious and clean, and the athletes were friendly, but competitive. I'll be going back!
New member to the gym, and I’ve really enjoyed myself here so far! The upper belts are patient and do a good job of teaching the novice how to improve their technique, and the classes are laid back and exciting. Greg, Brandon, and Lenny do a great job in watching over students and showing tips on how to execute a move. I can’t recommend this gym enough to anyone thinking about giving BJJ a try :)
Amazing instruction, and clean facility.
Odyssey is one of those special places that has been grown deliberately and with great care. Under the guidance of Professors Brandon Bennett (Renzo Gracie Black Belt) and Greg Sirico (Marcelo Garcia Black Belt), this Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym has evolved into a fantastic and welcoming place for all ages and levels. They have a broad range of offerings in gi and no gi, which are targeted to beginners and advanced practitioners. They even have an executive class for older students, while also boasting some very tough competitors across all divisions. The instruction is top notch and the professors are very engaged while you drill and spar. It’s a great place to drop in and an even better place to join. Stop in and see for yourself! 🔥
Man, what an experience! This is the New Wave Jiu Jitsu of Atlanta. They welcome members of all gym affiliations and have such an amazing environment. Greg teaches so incredibly methodically and is one of the most passionate coaches I've ever met. He pours his soul into his students and it shows.
Dropped in for a Sunday open mat the day after the Atlanta Open and had a great experience! ++ A very welcoming environment ++ Large and clean mats ++ Competitive focus
I'm still a very new white belt and just visiting from out of town. I went with a friend in town and had a good time and learned a lot. Mike's executive class in the morning had a good crew and Mike himself was very patient and methodical in explaining things, especially to a newbie like myself. My friend goes here regularly and really likes it as well.
I started training at Odyssey because I wanted to learn some basic self-defense fundamentals as a healthcare professional working with potentially combative patients and families. BJJ seemed like the right way to go because there is no striking, and the martial art focuses on using physics against bigger opponents. I am not an athletic woman. I do not learn physical skills easily. I added this to my list of physical activities to do to stay fit having absolutely no idea how much I would love it. BJJ is great by itself, but I am sure I would like it less if I went to another gym. The culture at the gym is incredibly welcoming. I feel very safe working out there. Despite how difficult it is for me to learn new physical skills, no one at the gym has ever laughed at me or lost their patience. The coaching is fantastic; they meet you where you are in experience. I also like that the culture is friendly to women without feeling gimmicky. I love the variety of classes available- from ladies only and self-defense to advanced competition classes.
Best gym in Atlanta, period. I’ve trained at many gyms not just around Atlanta but around the country and the world. Odyssey has the highest-quality level instruction with instructors who are deeply invested in their students’ progression — I’ve never seen anything like it. Regarding the head instructors, we’re talking about some legendary lineages here — the New York legends (hence the inside joke moniker “those guys from NY”) Marcelo and Renzo getting their instruction and approach to the art meticulously handed down via Coach Greg and Coach Brandon respectively. They have so many slots for classes that are very accommodating for people’s busy schedules — you can train up to 2 hours every morning 6-8am if you’re serious about it. Look at their track record as well, as they are constantly placing at every competition they enter which validates their technical instruction and approach to the sport. Very impressive for a school that’s been open for only about 5 years. Long story short: if you live in Atlanta and want to get better at jiujitsu, Odyssey is the place to go. As the saying goes, “when the student is ready, the teacher(s) will appear”. For jiujitsu practitioners or anyone interested in martial arts or trying to stay fit while learning self-defense, look no further, Odyssey has appeared. 💪 See you on the mats! Oss
As an out of town visitor, Odyssey Jiu Jitsu has been an awesome gym to train. The instructors and students were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The jiu jitsu is high quality, and the atmosphere is great! I plan on coming back whenever I’m in town for work. If I lived here, it’s definitely a place I would join!
My friend and I visited this gym coming from the very friendly Phuket, Thailand. We were unsure how people would be with visiting athletes but we were very well received and welcomed by everyone. The team is extremely kind and welcoming but also has a very good level of jiu jitsu. Good rolls. Thank you!
Great gym to train BJJ, everyone was so nice and friendly. High level competitors and overall awesome Jiu-jitsu. What really stuck out to me the most was the small details.. I could tell that the owner himself trains BJJ and he has everything in the gym that all practitioners would need to be able to train no problem. Very clean gym and I’m definitely coming back thanks for having me! OSS!
Odyssey BJJ , offers the most highest quality of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in Georgia. Greg Sirico holds a wealth of BJJ knowledge being a black belt under the legendary Marcelo Garcia. I have the distinct pleasure of training with Greg and I have to say the experience was enlightening. If you want to learn BJJ or want to take your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills to the next level train at Odyssey BJJ. - Greg Lee (BJJ black belt)
Couldn't recommend a better place to train jiu jitsu. If you're first starting out the instructors are very welcoming and patient If you're a competive athelte they have profressional classes at 7 am If you're just trying to train jiu jitsu as a hobby the classes are very informative but very relaxed and easy going. Lastly The people at the gym are awesome.
Great place all around. Everyone is friendly. Greg and Brandon foster a fun and competitive environment. Love the place
Had a great time when I visited. Everyone was so welcoming and it was a great vibe. I will definitely stop by again when I’m in the area
This is an amazing place to train. Staff/Coaches are attentive and accommodating, but firm and fair. There are about 2 or 3 or Jiu Jitsu gyms very close to my house, but I choose to make the longer drive to this gym. Come and check it out for yourself - even if it's just to drop in at an open mat!
Been training here for a little while now, and it has been amazing here so far. Odyssey not only has amazing coaching and jiu jitsu techniques, but an amazing culture and safe training partners. Five out of five would recommend.
I can’t recommend these guys enough! High quality jiu jitsu can be found, but high quality jiu jitsu with a nurturing positive environment of like minded people working towards similar goals is extremely hard, and that’s what Odyssey has to offer. Check them out!
Great vibe, awesome instruction, super clean and welcoming. Good crew of girls, and locker room / shower set up. Was great dropping in. Thanks again, Greg, Brandon, DK and team!
Friendly atmosphere + enthusiastic coaches + clean mats = Odyssey
This is the kind of gym you go to and realize that these guys lose less than they win and therefore win and get trophies because they look nice. Truly a spot and a strategy that makes champions
Wonderful instruction and great training partners. Thanks for the rolls!
Stopped in to train while traveling for work. Staff and coaches were very welcoming and I was able to take part in a great comp class. Great rounds!!!
Great place to roll, nice facility, great people. Greg is also an awesome super knowledgeable coach.
Found this place and they have been AMAZING. Unfortunately my schedule doesn't allow me great consistency but they have been more than excellent working me in. Great mixed group to learn with. 10/10 recommend
Extremely welcoming and encouraging environment. I came in with zero JiuJitsu experience worried the regulars wouldn’t care to give the time to teach me, but I was wrong. Each person I met was very patient and motivating. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone, at any levels of experience.
Can’t tell you how amazing this gym is, they are so welcoming from front desk to getting down on the mats. Very knowledgeable and respectful practice would come back here anytime.
Great hands on instruction with a supportive community that's excited to see you learn & thrive. They recently did some renovation to add new amenities like showers and a cold plunge!
Awesome hospitality and rolls thank you
I came through to train from out of town. They had excellent instruction, a really good diverse set of students and a fantastic training facility. Looking forward to returning when I’m back in town.
I was in Atlanta for a few days and wanted somewhere to train. Coach Greg and the folks at Odyssey BJJ were very gracious in hosting me. The instruction was useful, concepts I will absolutely be applying going forward. The rolls I got were great, and I recommend Odyssey to anyone looking for a BJJ gym
Visited for a week long training camp and it was great. As a guest their staff, students, & coaches made me feel at home. Thank you!
Great environment to train, and learn. I have never trained BJJ before and was very intimidated, but everyone here is super helpful and willing to break things down step by step. Shout out to all the instructors for establishing such an amazing gym, thank you!
Phenomenal Gym, phenomenal coaches! Visit and get that work in!
A blend of Marcelo and Danaher. No gi focused but gi instructions as well. The level of detailed coaching is some of the best I’ve seen. The people are warm and welcoming. Southern hospitality at its best for BJJ. Not to mention it’s next to The Works development. 10/10 recommend.
Really sweet staff and super cool place to train. Coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their schedule is set up well to fit all types of schedules. My only issue was mat space, there was a couple times where other training partners would run into us, but that’s not really an issue anymore after they renovated and expanded their mat space. Highly recommend to train here or at least have this as one of your spots to cross train.
Great group of training partners and coaches, not to mention tons of mat space and just an overall solid training facility. If you're thinking of getting started or already train and nearby, do yourself a favor and check out Odyssey!
very nice people and very solid gym, very welcoming. we will be back and cross train again.
Basing my training out of Austin. I’ve been traveling and training at gyms around the country the last few months due to family things. I can easily say this has been one of the best experiences I’ve had as a visitor. Greg was a phenomenal instructor and shaped the class around the needs of all that were in attendance. Going into great detail with the technique he had planned to teach and just as detailed with the technique that derived from questions from his students. When the class was over he stayed for an extra 30 minutes to allow the students in the class to work on whatever they wanted to. As a new person to a gym, Greg made me feel like i was at home and I learned so much in so little time. It’s an a class facility currently being developed into a first class facility. Greg is pouring all of his time and heart into this dojo/gym/mat space and it’s becoming one of my favorite place to train in Atlanta.
Absolutely amazing place to train. I was in the area due to work and trained for two weeks. I wish I lived in the area so I could train here everyday. The people and instructors were top notch, don’t miss out !!
This place was great friendly with top notch instruction. Beer practice with the owner and crew was also fantastic. I was drop in from out of town and 💯 recommend
What's not to love about long hard rounds in a warehouse on a hot sticky day? Training partners were friendly, many had great wrestling, and instruction was spot-on: not too technically complex and ruthlessly effective.
As an adult, venturing into new experiences and forging new relationships can be quite daunting, especially when it involves diving into the world of Jiu Jitsu. Odyssey stands out as a place deeply rooted in community, dedicated to meeting you where you are and offering the support you need to thrive in your personal growth journey. Whether you're a casual enthusiast, aspiring competitor, or simply curious about trying something new, Odyssey welcomes you with open arms. Their teaching approach, when it comes to technical skills, is remarkably digestible to anyone, regardless of your learning style. However, what truly sets Odyssey apart is the incredible people who comprise this community. Everyone here exudes warmth, patience, and kindness in embracing newcomers and inviting them to be part of this remarkable journey. I'm incredibly grateful to have discovered this space, and I eagerly anticipate contributing to this exceptional community.
Good facilities, welcoming atmosphere/culture, and no question the best jiu jitsu instruction in the Southeast! Professors here use modern teaching styles to make BJJ more intuitive.
I recently joined Odyssey after leaving my previous gym in search of a BJJ school with a strong curriculum, leadership, and students. Odyssey checked all those boxes along with the fact that the coaches and students have all been kind in welcoming to me as a new member. As a long time martial artists I can say that I am extremely satisfied to have joined one of the best BJJ teams in Georgia!
Odyssey has been an amazing experience for me I came in the doors wanting a competitive training room I stayed because it’s a family and an environment that develops success in all aspects of life. Everyone in the gym is respectful and wants to see you succeed and the technique is world class having coaches who live and breath jiu jitsu. Whether you are trying to find a fun outlet for exercise or trying to be a high level jiu jitsu competitor odyssey is the place to be!
I cannot stress enough how awesome this gym is. They are so knowledgeable and professional on the mats! And so nice and fun to be around! Everyone here ROCKS!!!
I love this place. Excellent instructors and amazing training partners. They also have a lot of free weights and workout equipment.
I was visiting Atlanta and googled this gym. I ended up training there multiple times during the week I was there. The gym had excellent, detailed instruction and a good overall vibe. If I was moving to Atlanta I would make this my home gym.
Visiting from out of town. Great instruction, welcoming, and friendly but competitive rolls.
I dropped in to train and these guys could not have been nicer. Greg was excellent in his instruction covering both sport and self-defense while adapting the instruction to my game. The students were super respectful and smart about how hard to roll. All of them checked and then reacted accordingly. The facility was excellent, mats were clean and the instruction was detailed in the Danaher tradition. After checking out five other studios, I will settle here the next time I am in town.
Love the team and my experience at Odyssey BJJ. After switching gyms, I was nervous that I wasn’t going to find a new bjj home that was warm and welcoming. However, that was not the case. The professors/coaches are kind, dedicated, and knowledgeable. It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, Odyssey BJJ is an amazing place to learn and sharpen your skills. Would definitely recommend!
Odyssey JiuJitsu is a top-of-the-line, first-rate studio! My 9-year-old son started just a few months ago and I cannot say enough about the amazing atmosphere they create there. I actually owned my own karate studio for several years and from my experience, Coach Campbell is the best instructor I have ever seen! His skill level is second to none, he makes class fun and keeps the kids focused. My son has learned so much...not only solid techniques but also life lessons like the importance of resilience, compassion, etc. Your kids will LOVE it!!
The instructors have a wealth of knowledge and the community is incredibly supportive of practitioners at all levels. Facilities are top-notch and incredibly clean. Very happy with my experience and would recommend this gym to anyone
Great space, excellent instructions, and awesome training partners. Was visiting Atlanta from Boston, and the instructor / students made me feel very welcome. The details in the instruction were excellent, definitely have some new aspects to add to my game.
I love dropping in to different gyms when I travel, but this has been by far my best experience. Great coaching, and super welcoming people.
I joined a few months ago after moving from another gym and my game has greatly improved in a short time. The technique taught here is highly advanced and extremely detailed, but the coaches are attentive to students of all levels. Fantastic place for anyone to come train whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills.
Odyssey is a great gym with a great culture. I’ve been a guest once or twice and finally made the switch over and it’s been a blast. They have a ton of classes that fit my schedule and a strong community. Recommend this place to anybody.
I have been at Odyssey for a few months and I am greatly enjoying it! From day one, the instructors and students have been very welcoming and kind. They create a culture of kindness and openness so that new students can feel a part of the gym quickly. I take the early morning weekday classes where I have the privilege of learning from excellent, detail-oriented instructors who excel in different aspects of both gi and no gi Jiu jitsu. Their varied approaches enhance the overall learning experience. Finally, I love the Executives class taught by a black belt with fifteen years of experience. During this class, we focus on techniques and strategies for older grapplers and spar with lower intensity so we can solidify technique. Great gym!
