Did a lunch time drop in and had a great time. Really nice people, welcoming atmosphere, detailed coaching, fun training. You really should check them out. Hope my travels bring me back.

I just dropped in here visiting the area for a week. It's always a little intimidating walking into a new gym but these guys were as friendly and welcoming as my home gym. The instruction was clear and swift. Their approach to drilling in the advanced class was really cool and all the students were awesome! I look forward to a couple more classes before I go home and am referring my local family and friends to Motion City BJJ.

Motion City BJJ is an awesome gym with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere, whether it’s your first class or you’ve been rolling for a while. The instructors and owners genuinely care and provide great guidance every single class. You always walk out having learned something new and feeling part of the team. If you’re on the fence about trying it out or looking for a new gym, this is 10/10 the place to go!🤙🏾

Home is where the heart is!! MOTION CITY BJJ IS DEFINITELY WHERE MY HEART'S AT! It, too, can be where your heart belongs!!! I'm always met with cordial greetings every day when I come in for class whether I go in once a day or twice! If I could, I would be there all day! Their energy isn't personally tied to me alone. Their liveliness is shared with everyone that comes to Motion City BJJ! I've experienced it myself and have witnessed the positive interactions unfailingly every day when I walk through the front doors at Motion City BJJ with new individuals and individuals that are already a part of the Motion City community. What we have at Motion City BJJ is a FAMILY! All thanks to the coaches Michelle, Ashley, and Aidan! They are unbelievably supportive of you and everyone else. They prioritize your safety and make sure that you feel comfortable. They are always willing to answer your questions and listen to your concerns, if anything. They won't force you to do anything that you're not comfortable with in BJJ. They provide feedback to help you, so you can navigate and develop your style in BJJ. They are undeniably phenomenal coaches! Sincerely, your future training/sparring partner, E t h a n . (((:

I LOVE THIS GYM! Very clean, very comforting to walk into, and very very friendly people are here! The free women’s classes and open mats are my favorite to come to 💟 thank you Professor Michelle for creating such a great place for people to train!

I love rolling with Aiden and Michele and the rest of Motion City. BJJ is for everyone and Michelle and Aiden work with everyone where they're at. The mats are always clean and ready for class. At Motion City I am able to flex my jujitsu to my busy days each week due to their class schedule-this way I am always getting more than my payments worth of class time and experience. I have always been treated with respect from all instructors and members and frequently receive thoughtful feedback from each individual I work with. The BJJ culture at Motion City is not one you want to miss out on-all ages, all walks of jujitsu, and all personalities. Don't wait to start BJJ one day-make today day one.

I have been to Motion City for the Women’s Class. I really love that it’s free to all affiliates. It gives us a chance to meet other women from other gyms and build a strong women’s BJJ community. You can expect any thing from a good hard roll to a nice flow roll and everything in between. Upper belt women from other gyms are brought in from time to time to guest teach. Such a cool dynamic. This gym has such a great vibe and I highly suggest you come visit if you’re in the area or try out a class or open mat. The owners and students are nothing but warm and welcoming.

This place is great! Michelle and Aiden are fantastic and very welcoming to all kinds and types of people exploring their BJJ Journey! Very clean gym with a kids area as well so its very family friendly which was huge for me. If you're looking for a welcoming, yet testing gym that offers a bit of everything and get a chance to work with great coaches that are very knowledgeable, Motion City is the spot!

Motion City is an awesome spot! Great mix of students, the energy and vibes with the group is always amazing. There is always someone willing to match my energy, whether it’s a chill flow roll day or I’m feeling like I want to go for it!! This is something I really appreciate, and I look for because I feel like it speaks so much to the culture of the gym as a whole. Aidan and Michelle are fantastic instructors. They each bring their own unique jiu jitsu game and perspective into the techniques. They have both been extremely willing to help we troubleshoot the weak spots in my own game, and really encouraged me to start playing with new techniques and concepts!! Great facility, super clean and bright mat space, and a bonus garage door that’s wide open when the weather is right!!! Super convenient location too, pretty much in the middle of MPLS and STP!!!

This was an excellent place to train and learn. Very clean, professionally run facility. The class that I attended (taught by Michele) was well-planned and actioned packed. We had a group of mixed levels and sizes. It worked great and I learned a lot!

I love it here! The instructors have the perfect balance of detailed technique explanation, but also give the space/freedom to explore and learn via discovery as well, which leads to those sweet "aha!" moments. The environment is incredibly welcoming, and you get a genuine feeling that everyone wants to help each other improve. The instructors and upper belts have always been willing to answer questions or sit down after a roll and offer advice. My daughter is in the kids class, and she is finding a boost in confidence and pride from learning jiu jitsu, but also having a blast while doing it. Motion City has a been a very special place for my family, and I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to train there.

Our daughter attends the kids class and it’s fantastic, 10/10, highly recommended. The instructor matches children’s skillets so classes are educational and of high utility. Our daughter loves the kids class at Motion City BJJ.

I love the vibe here! The coaches/owners are very knowledgeable and great teachers! This gym is a wonderful place to make connections, work on your fitness and learn a new skill (or continue your journey if you're already in the sport). They can work with all levels whether you are there just for fitness or want to compete, they have you covered. If you are a woman and looking to get into the sport but nervous to start, their womens only classes on Saturdays are always free and always fun for all levels! I have always been nervous to start sports working with women because of past issues but every girl I have met at this place is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend to everyone I meet.

What a great place! The instructors are really nice people and their energy is addicting. The classes are fun, hard but fun challenges broken up into games and that makes learning easier and more fun. Youll leave tired but you’ll feel over the moon

Great place to learn and grow, definitely worth checking out! It’s new, and the owners and instructors are good people. Plus, there’s a free women’s class led by a female black belt every Saturday!

Our whole family takes classes at Motion City. The instructors are fantastic. Everyone in our family is at a different skill level, yet we all are able to learn something from each class. Our youngest just got his first stripe and eager to keep coming so he can catch up to his older siblings. Motion City is a family friendly environment and very welcoming to people new to BJJ. If you are at all curious come check out any of the classes (especially if you have kids that need to burn some energy).
