I stopped in for a nogi class today and had a really great time. As a small female, visiting new gyms can be a little intimidating, but the guys here were all great partners and I felt real welcomed.

I've been training at Mile High for about 2 years, and I can confidently say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made for my physical and mental health. The instruction here is top-tier. There are several different instructors that all have their own expertise and emphasize different aspect of jiu-jitsu (self defense, wrestling, competition), but everything is rooted in real experience. The Mile High community is something special. Everyone is respectful, humble, and eager to help each other grow. The gym itself is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this place, it's the best jiu-jitsu school in Denver.

Teaches everything when it comes to Grappling. The students and teachers help you with everything along the way. Everyone is very humble, nice and kind. The instructors are very honest, nice and will help you will everything. This place is for everyone and has a very healthy and humble environment.
Mile High is a a top notch facility for those serious about BJJ. It is a welcoming facility which is full of knowledgeable instructors. The environment is clean and friendly to all. Classes are led in professional manner and on time. The Owner/Lead instructor Matt is very friendly and has a true desire to teach and better the sport. Best BJJ in CO. This is a top notch facility and I would recommend it anyone I know.
I'm from out of town and was really looking for a great place to drill and roll. I walked in off the street and Matt took me in with no hesitation. A great place to train for sure!!

This is the best academy. Period. Great diversity of techniques and backgrounds from several black belt instructors. Supportive training partners who take the time to help develop you as practitioners and as people. Jiu Jitsu has been a game changer for me and I started fresh at 48
I’ve been training jiu-jitsu for a long time , in several different cities and with several different groups over the years. I’ve been with Mile high Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for years and this group is amongst the best. Good depth of experience and practice styles. Are you young, aggressive, and interested in competition? This group provides for this. More interested in fundamentals of self-protection - ditto. Older, new to the art, or more interested in a calmer , progressive approach to training- check. Also, the group is collaborative in its training methodology rather than non-stop high intensity, so I think less risk of injuries In this group than some.

Absolutely fantastic! This is an amazing gym for new and advanced people. I came in and was a little embarrassed because I didn't really know anything, but this crew smashed that down quickly. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly. Each person I practice or roll with is encouraging and super helpful if I need help understanding a move or a break when I get winded (not once have I ever felt judged, stupid, or unsupported by any of the instructors or people training there). The instructors are better than I hoped for; caring, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve trained at 5+ jiu jitsu/MMA gyms in Colorado and Mile High by far has the most knowledgeable instructors. They have at least 5 black belts (I may be forgetting some) who give stellar advice and instruction every time you roll with them. They have some top competitors who swear by Mile High as well. One of their brown belts, Troy Everett, beat Chris Leben in a Fight2Win main event so you know the training is legit. Their facility is very clean and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. I’m making the switch to MMA training, but in the future I will definitely be returning to this gym. 10/10
I was in Denver visiting and wanted to train. Very welcoming with excellent instruction.
Visited the school and loved the people in it. Everyone seems to be passionate about teaching the rookies even the students. If you're nervous about coming in don't be they will treat you with the utmost respect and want you to be able to defend yourself, not just totally dominate you. I signed up the moment I left the class but had a work discrepancy, my schedule flipped and I could no longer make 6-8. I sent an email out and THE NEXT DAY they sent me a kind and understanding email and immediately refunded me. I have an insane ammount of respect for these people EXACTLY what you should expect from a Gracie school and then some. Big props to them.
I visited the school for a private lesson while on a trip to Colorado.. I had just returned from the Gracie Academy in Torrance California.. and I decided to stop by Mile High Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and train while in town. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any of the regular classes but fortunately I did get a chance to train privately with Bryan Cameron one of the schools black belt instructors. I did a one hour private session with him and wished I had time for more. Very cool guy and I learned alot. I look forward to my next trip out to Colorado and Mile High Gracie Jiu Jitsu. I really dont think any other school is this well equipped for teaching bjj. They have the heart, the knowledge, skill, expertise, and experience. What they have in particular that makes every time i go extra fun is their sence of humor and character. Its really everything you could ask for.

Joining this school has been one of the best experiences. I have learned so much about this sport and my self. I know how to push my mind and body to learn more. Each class I feel encouraged to learn more and keep coming back. I have so much more self confidence. The workout are fantastic.
As a new student to the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu I did a lot of research and visited multiple schools to determine which one would be right for me. Mile High Gracie Jiu-jutsu is welcoming, unpretentious and low-key. I felt right at home. The experienced students spoke to me and encouraged my participation. The instructors are patient, thoughtful, considerate and tough. I would highly recommend this school to any level of Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu practitioner.
Best place in Colorado to go for BJJ. Teaching gi and non gi classes, you get a feel for self defense as well as an overall knowledge of the best jiujitsu. Extremely happy here

If you're looking for the best Jiu-jitsu instruction in town this is the place. They teach gi and no gi jiu-jitsu with a variety of wresting and judo elements mixed in. Although the facility is small and there is no striking program (yet) the relaxed instruction by all the coaches and high level students make it the best place to learn. I've trained at the majority of the sport martial arts academies in the area and this is my favorite. For me the people are the most important part of any academy and Mile High Gracie has the best people to train with.
I shopped around the typical big schools in Denver. But they are all the typical "30 days free" with a six month contract, with registration fees of $200 bucks and a monthly payment that rivals a car payment! (I use to work for a MA school like that) Lets just say if a school won't list it's prices over the phone, DON'T GO THERE. They are 50% instructors and 50% salesmen. And they will just try to get an "intro" class so they can then manipulate you in person, it's easier that way. But anyway, mile high is NOT one of them. I have been taking martial arts for 6 years, and Morgan has been one of my favorite instructors in the short time I have trained with them. All of the instructors are down to earth, they want to help you, and not just make a buck off from you. And their biggest emphasis is to keep calm while rolling, and to breathe! Two factors most of us forget in rolling and life in general. This place is affordable, fun, no contract (life is unpredictable) and really good technical instruction. These guys have been doing BJJ for at least 10 years, so don't think for one second that you have to spend a ton of money and go to a big renown school to learn great BJJ down to earth instruction. And if you look at my review history, you know it's hard to get a excellent score from me, but Mile High has got it! Thanks for giving me confidence mile high!!!

Not professional at all. I inquired online and these people did was harass and threaten me. Not the principles that should be taught in any martial art.
