So far Peak has been a positive impact on elevating my workouts. I was strength training for years and the sweat wasn’t coming. Five minutes into class you will break a sweat. Every coach or professors is super helpful.I highly recommend this gym.
Posted 8 months agoI enjoy seeing my grandson learn the different techniques. He is always ready and wants to be in the front row. He has shown great discipline within himself during school and remain focused with his academics. The coaches are a great asset to the program they strive to offer support to each child that is in the class! Thank you for all of the positive guidance and support. Angie
Posted 1 year agoAwesome gym with incredible coaches, whom are actual fighters!
the name says it Peak! kick boxing that’s what it is the coaching staff is amazing
Coach Aaron’s classes at Lakewood are the best way to start my Saturday morning! Always challenged and pushed to lean into the combos.
I tried a couple kickboxing places and this one is awesome, it’s a great space, they have an awesome intro process, the front desk staff is always lovely, Coach Rafa and Coach Lopez have been incredible, incredibly helpful and motivating. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Peak has a great program, starting with littles.
I have trained at Peak Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 6 years. This place is awesome. I trained mostly BJJ for the 6 years I spent here and almost immediately fell in love with the gym atmosphere. Professor Nick Mota is an extraordinary teacher for BJJ, and I will miss his coaching. I have recently moved to Colorado Springs, otherwise I would be back at Peak almost every day if I could. The Kickboxing classes here are also amazing. Whether you are just looking for something fun, or a seriously intense 45 minute workout, Coach Aaron Lopez's kickboxing classes will not disappoint. If you are considering training here, give it a shot. This gym will not let you down. It is very clean, and filled with awesome people that will help you reach your goals, whatever they might be.
Peak is great for all things martial arts . My personal favorites are kick boxing classes with coach Lopez , he keeps the energy high , morale higher , and my cardio honest . Love being part of the family , jiu jitsu classes with profesor Roman also keep me coming back! Great place , great people.
I’ve been training at Peak for a few months now after being hesitant to get back into training for a few years. There are a few classes but the one I’ve been in is the MMA class with coach Lopez and Rafa. The coaches are very attentive to all the students and answer any questions when asked. Not only are the coaches great the all the staff has been wonderful including Lance and Tommy at the front desk. Everyone there is always so upbeat and happy. It’s such a positive environment and I look forward to training every day that I go. The community is great and it’s really easy to connect with the other students as well. We are all there for the same reason and it’s to improve and be better and everyone does a spectacular job of pushing each other and learning. Looking forward to continuing training here at Peak.
Such a great class and learning environment. I really enjoy the kick boxing conditioning and then the mma technical training. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Coach Rafa and Coach Aaron are really great to work with. I'm bringing my friends and my girlfriend.
Great facility with great instructors. Clean and well organized. Really glad I found it!
I love Peak Kickboxing! Best workout. Wonderful members and coaches. Go check out Coach Aaron Lopez’s classes!
I've been doing Peak Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu Lakewood for about a year. The coaches, including Henry, Aaron and Gino as mostly regulars and front office staff have been nothing short of extremely friendly and professional. The coaches are always raring to go and enthusiastic about getting everyone upbeat when starting a class. Every student receives individual attention on their form or stance needs to be corrected. Most important to me. What a dang good workout of 45 minutes of intense cardio and physical combo!
Love this place! The coaches are amazing & I love going to kickboxing class. Such a great workout and welcoming atmosphere & community. Highly recommend!
One of the greatest gyms around regardless of what you want to do! I hadn't trained in 15 years, and all the staff welcomed me with open arms. Their commitment to satisfying the needs of their customers is truly awesome. All the coaches will meet you where you are, and help you improve no matter what. This gym is great for the new, and the seasoned. there are varying difficulties of classes and workouts, all with the customer's best interest in mind. The coaches care about each person who signs up and will keep you on your goals. shout out to Coach Lopez - who currently is building my confidence back up - teaches a few of the kickboxing courses is an awesome dude. His classes are fitness inducing, engaging, and anyone can learn/improve on skills with him at the wheel. One of my favorite parts of Peak is they can give you individualized feedback and are not afraid to setup sessions with you to improve wherever is needed. 5/5 would sign up again. Plus you get a free trial if you want to.
Peak is far and away the best gym experience I’ve had. I’ve done kickboxing at 4 different gyms, and Peak is the clear winner. Everyone is helpful and welcoming. Coach Aaron Lopez’s classes are outstanding - in 3 years I’ve never had a rerun. His classes are always unique, challenging, engaging and a killer workout. I plan my week around my Peak workouts! The personal training sessions are also definitely worth the time and money. The coaches are all fighters who bring their skill and experience into classes. The community is fantastic and very supportive of new members. I can’t say enough great things about this gym, and specifically about Coach Lopez- best kickboxing classes ever!
I have had many gym memberships in my lifetime, this is literally the only gym I enjoy going to. And I have never been in better shape in my life. 1000% recommend wholeheartedly
I started coming and was absolutely addicted after one lesson. It's a very friendly atmosphere especially as a woman who has never done this before. After one month, I can feel my body growing stronger and slim down. One of my shirts was tight around my biceps! It's a great program, it helps me sleep, vent some anger, and feel powerful.

We love it there. We have been going there for four years. We moved far away but keep going to Peak because we love it! Coach Lopez is the best. He is the biggest reason why we love it so much!!
Great place, amazing coaches and probably one of the best places to learn fighting and to get in shape. I highly recommend this place.
so funnnnnnnnn!!
Peak is AWESOME. The classes are always a great workout and the coaches and staff are always super friendly!!! Ive tried a few martial arts gyms in the past and Peak has been my favorite by far!
love this place all the coach’s are amazing 👍
My son and I have both been training here for almost a year. My expectations have been exceeded. The coaches and the community are great. It's friendly and welcoming environment. I'd recommend this gym for anyone from advanced to beginners.
I went and participated for 12 months and it was awesome. There was a slight billing issue after I left the program but they fixed it and all is good
Our family loves Peak! The professors, coaches, and staff are all top notch. If your thinking about joining a first class gym, look no further than Peak!
In my fourth year of training here and I love it! Last year I moved, which increased my commute to 45 min-1 hr each way, and I still have no desire to even consider going elsewhere. Fantastic coaches, great environment, great facilities.
Peak is a phenomenal place to train whether you are just starting out or looking to further your Martial Arts journey. They have classes for any experience level, along with an incredibly friendly environment and staff that is genuinely there to help with your goals. The community is amazing and I highly recommend them as a great place to train!
This place hands down has the most warm family energy with no ego. The coaches are highly trained and are always welcoming to anyone where ever they are at on their journey. The program directors are super knowledgeable and are committed to helping you reach your goals. Every time I walk through the door the front desk greets you with a smile and I always leave happy. If you wanna start your martial arts journey this is the place to do it!
Nick, the manager made sure we were very comfortable with the facilities and great billing structure. The coaches were amazing with our 4 year old in the little ninjas class. When he got scared they gave him one on one attention until he could rejoin the other kids.
I trained here (Andrew Hesser) for 6.5 years earning my purple belt and competing, and ended up winning purple belt devision NAGA gold medal belt !! I was personal friends with a lot of the team and coaches and can’t speak higher of them all! Very professional and will treat you well! Family atmosphere and anyone with any experience level can fit right in!! I moved away and can’t thank them enough for being my friends and looking out for me throughout my MMA experience 🙏🙏
The coaches are beyond knowledgeable. The culture is everything I want out of a gym. I feel welcome, I'm pushed to succeed, and definitely learn a lot. Been going for 6 months now, wouldn't want it anywhere else.
Ive enjoyed very much so far... Been there for 10 months now 😊 Great trainers!!!
Great teachers and environment.
Great staff. Great coaches. Clean and friendly environment. Would recommend to anybody in the Denver metro area looking to get in shape or learn martial arts!
Great teachers and atmosphere that creates a relaxing but competitive environment. Highly recommend for beginners or people with more experience.
I gave it a shot because I needed a change and it happened to be next to my favorite Chinese restaurant. I have never done any sort of combat sport, so I was a total newbie. I felt comfortable being a beginner and have been continuously challenged as I learn and grow. The coaches are not only massively skilled, but are good at teaching. Those don't always go hand in hand so that is a tremendous benefit to the students. The gym also has a great community without egos or cliques that can sour the experience for newcomers.
This gym is incredible! Everyone is very nice and welcoming. The coaches are very knowledgeable and want to see you succeed and progress to be the best version of yourself. Check it out!
Great coaches that genuinely care about your progress.
I can’t say enough good things about Peak! My two boys started as lil ninjas and are now competing / winning in grappling tournaments!
One of the best choices I’ve ever made was joining this gym. The
It was amazing, I loved my child to be involved in these learning abilities, I was saddened when she decided to quit, it was nothing to do with staff or clients it was a little girl's life cycle...Thank yous all hopefully some day she will return motivated.
My four year old son started the lil ninjas class and was nervous about not knowing everything the other kids did. He said he wanted to go home and Coach Lopez saw this and pulled him aside to help teach him and get him caught up. I’ve never seen him so excited about something, and it’s all thanks to the staff at Peak! I’ve also been attending the classes and coach Lopez and coach Rafa are amazing at what they do!
Peak has a great culture and really cares about their students. If you are beginner or advanced they can help you achieve your goals in a fun and friendly team environment. OSS
I just started training at Peak! I have only done two classes so far and I already love it. I started training to learn bjj and lose weight. Every coach is helpful and there is no judgement if you don’t know what you’re doing. We signed my nephew up for the lil ninja class and coach Lopez was awesome with him. He was nervous starting and coach took him into a room by himself to help him get more comfortable with doing the class. I look forward to going to class each week! I highly recommend using Peak!
Amazing place, if it wasn’t for losing my job, I’ll definitely would’ve stayed working out here! Amazing staff, the programs are assigned to your liking’s. Definitely a great workout place!
Great place to train with very respectable coaches 👍
Great place highly recommend
Awesome gym
Really good place
My first class was great. I took intermediate Muy Thai class. The instructors are patient, folks are welcoming. I appreciate Coach James and the thoughtfulness of the warmup he gave and the clarity of instruction
This facility is amazing! Best martial arts gym in CO hands down!
My daughter's been a student at peak for the past couple of years. It's the first real activity she's taken to like this. Not only is she learning beneficial skills, but she has a community outside of her school friends that she's able to be herself with. They giggle and they train. But mostly train. I would strongly encourage parents to bring their child for a lesson. They will then be the ones asking to go back. Go Peak!!
Honestly was such a great vibe. saw a lot of people training and definitely feel like ima learn a lot here.
Lacy was great! Really made me and my friend feel welcomed and comfortable at our skill level. We BOTH signed up and are so excited to start our journey!
First Impressions in my sign up day was very good! Staff very nice and friendly! walked me to the gym areas and everything looks clean and in good condition! see you guys Monday! Thanks!
Great gym, amazing instructors. Sad could not enjoy it as much as I wanted since I got moved out of the state.
My son has been in classes for almost 1 year & the growth and improvement has been amazing . He is so focused in class , he's learned new skills and his confidence has improved so much. We are beyond great for the coaches and the whe staff at peaks and look forward to our future with them .
My kids have been going here for awhile and they love it. Coach Lopez and Coach Phil amazing at what they do. They’re very dedicated and passionate and it shows through every class. I’ve seen my kids focus more and their self esteem has risen. The energy is nothing but positive. I give this place a 10/10.
Experienced coaches and very kind staff that wants you to improve. Great academy!
All the staff are welcoming and friendly! My husband and I loved our kickboxing class so much that we signed up for a membership. Awesome workout in a fun way.
It's a good place imma keep up with my new past time good support here
Had a great intro first day at Peak! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! They have everything you need for a full gym workout or group classes to get you moving! I’m so excited to get in the groove and goin this great team!
After attaining the first week of the 30 Day Trial! I can say that I am impressed by how knowledgeable and motivating the coaches/instructors are!! Looking forward in continuing my training at Peak kickboxing/Bjj thank you for the opportunity!! An great people.
Went in for a free trial class and was so impressed. My instructor was incredibly competent and made things simple to understand, and patiently explored all of the membership options with me. I didn’t sign up for a membership today - but was so impressed by the place that I’ll for sure be signing up as soon as I’m in a position to do so. Highly recommend
I am not one to write reviews much. I have nothing but loved this place. I have only been going for 3 months and I am hit or miss due to being busy. I am in the beginner course so I can't speak to anything higher level or for people who would have experience about techniques because I don't know anything. This said nothing but the best for the M-T MMA training classes. The coaches are extremely encouraging but will correct you. I was a little hesitant given what other people have said about contracts and I haven't dealt with that but I don't plan on stopping though it will probably take me months to get out of the beginner section do to my spotty attendance. Also for me the commitment is good. I have yet to experience anything negative with this place. Kind of long for limited experience with them but I like to talk.
Awesome gym, fun time, and great people to be around!!
Just went for my first free lesson and it was a blast! Already learned a lot and cannot wait to start my MMA journey with these awesome people!
I am extremely happy to join and be a new part of the Peak Kickboxing Jiu Jitsu Family!! Todays kickboxing lesson was great. Excellent workout and learning. Instructor was a 10/10. And looking forward to so much! THANK YOU for welcoming me!!
Had a great first experience and decided to go with a while years worth of classes. Learned so much, and love the atmosphere.
Very friendly staff, and a really clean and professional training environment. Bonus points for having a flexible registration process. Highly recommend as a beginner.
Excellent place to learn, kid classes as well. Private lessons are available
Peak is an extraordinary place to learn self-defense techniques that can apply in the real world! 😁🤞🤚
My Little girl goes here. It is a good program. I had to cancel the program and that was a little tricky and a bit problematic. When I finally got to the person I needed to, it was resolved quickly. It was also because I left a bad review. So I'm editing it now to reflect the whole experience. He did redeem the company and we will probably go back.
Great facility however none of the memberships and paperwork are done in house; all done through mail with a corporate office and cancelling my membership for atleast 6 months has been nothing but hell. I don’t have a printer and I’m recovering from a medical condition to which I couldn’t walk and when I got to finally go into the location they couldent even print the form there. Got it taken care of now but I paid atleast 6 months when I couldent attend all because nothing is done in-house and I understand it’s my problem not having a printer but having a medical condition I expected to be able to give my information required over the phone or something.
5 stars in quality of coaching. 1 star on financial / contract terms, so I figure they balance out at 3 stars. Expect top of the line competitive, but accessible coaching. Also expect to lube up your orifice(s) for expensive, *multi-year* contracts. (Their fundamentals / intro to MMA contract program in particular was misleading *at best*, and unethically predatory at worst as of my experience 2017-2020). All that aside, Coach James Wienberg is a boss at what he does. Whether you’re a beginner that doesn’t know what a jab is, or a competitive amateur in need of a competent and focused cornerman, James will take care of you. He doesn’t seem like he’s in it for the money either; he just loves fighting and coaching and that energy is contagious and motivating. TL;DR screw management, but mad respect to their coaches.
Needlessly Predatory, Makes no Sense. I just took my first class at Peak and it went really well. I am excited to see how their BJJ classes go since that is what I am primarily interested in. That being said, speaking to their front staff felt like I was buying a used car. I had to make an appointment, sign waivers and take an hour long class just to see their pricing structure when I've seen other gyms post their rates online! The thing that confuses me is that they have pretty competitive pricing and seemingly a strong product so I do not understand why I had to pull teeth to find out how much I will be paying. Easily the most frustrating experience I have had shopping for a gym of any kind but I will probably continue to evaluate if it is right for me. TLDR: Management will pressure you so hard into signing up for a year but seem to run a good gym at a fair price.
Don’t train here. The front office doesn’t care about its members. Wouldn’t refund me when I unexpectedly had to move. I bought a whole year that hadn’t started yet, but they still said no, even though the training never commenced. They got $1,000 for doing nothing. No respect for students or their welfare. Don’t sign anything with these guys! I left 2 stars because the instructors are good and I have no problem with them.
Posted 6 months agoPaid for a year in advance, went to four classes... After my term was up, peak continued charging my bank account without any notice and then claimed, "It's in the contract."
I am taking legal action towards this gym. I requested to cancel my membership due to moving out of state. They gave me their billing email without a number to contact. When I emailed waiting for a call I got an automatic response say thing they will be in touch. The next day they took $208 out of my account without my consent.I Have tried to contact them since with only being ignored. Since this gym only cares about clout and reviews this is why I am writing this here. This is the only way they listen to feedback. I highly recommend stay away from this gym because their intention is profit over purpose.
Posted 9 months agoTLDR: Predatory cancellation policy. Poor instruction. Our kid loved going to class, but he never progressed. Kids were left to figure out the technique on their own, and there were often too many kids in the class. Kids were given new belts without any progression criteria. He spent a year going to class without a significant amount of improvement. The energy was great, but the training was not. When we decided to cancel, we emailed them, and they asked us to jump through a bunch of hoops before they would stop charging our card. After multiple phone calls and emails asking them to stop, I finally had to cancel my card and report the charges as fraud. It was poor training, and I'm not into predatory business practices.
Stephanie from peak is awful, she refused to answer any of my questions and continues to harass me via text message. This place is a scam, steer clear, once they get your phone number they will spam you but they don’t actually answer any questions, instead their answer to every question is that you should come in and talk to Stephanie. What a pot of crock.
I do not recommend this place, be careful when signing because they are going to charge you for everything, I had a bad experience with this place.
Peak kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu is a predatory establishment aimed at scamming each individual who walks through the door. I highly recommend going elsewhere with your money and would not recommend this business to anyone. 0/10 do not recommend. The classes are crowded. The staff are more focused on sales than customer satisfaction. I mean, it’s worse than a used car lot. Stay away. The predatory nature of management towards sales is just disappointing. See the friends episode when Chandler needs to quit a gym. I only gave one star because I had to. They deserve 0 stars.
As a former fitness kickboxing instructor (experienced on the bag and with glove drills, but not true sparring) I wanted to learn the discipline more deeply and functionally. Coach was super knowledgeable but I felt that as a woman I didn’t have great opportunities to learn provided, as I was consistently paired with the few other women - who were also new/inexperienced and didn’t know what we were doing. At other gyms I was accustomed to less experienced people being paired, at least occasionally, with more experienced folks to help everyone learn and understand the moves. Instead, I felt like the gym was too worried that people would be uncomfortable and the women’s learning was sacrificed to avoid any potential awkwardness instead of building an environment that just felt safe for everyone to try to learn. In addition, there was only ever one coach on the mat. So we would frequently try the move, not be sure if we were doing it right, and have only a moment with the coach before we moved on to something else. Even in fitness kickboxing, which is less technical, we typically had 2 or 3 coaches on the mat helping with form and guiding folks. I didn’t feel like I had the chance to learn well here and hope to find a gym that creates an environment where everyone can learn from everyone else.
Not recommended! I wanted to try and start training but when I showed up, it felt more like they were trying to get a contract subscription out of me rather than help me achieve my personal goal.
From another. Beware of Peak Training Center Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu off of 6th and garrison. I signed up for a free month membership and now they are trying to charge me 500$ before I can cancel. Total scam, avoid this place.
It costs how much? This isn’t a real martial arts studio and not a local business. Was interested and someone named Stacy texted me referencing an affordable price. Set up a meeting andshe didn’t even work in the gym. She even texted me an excited picture holding a sign welcoming me by name. I was impressed. When I arrived and realized I got duped, I was almost sick because I was so excited to find a place to call home. The program is more than 1k. Move along to a reputable gym and don’t waste your time.
