  We have been going to this school since September and I couldn't be more pleased with the instructors and level of professionalism. The owners Coach Patty and Coach Carlos are both highly experienced competitors and diligent teachers. The head of the kids programs, Coach Nefeli, is great with the kids, negotiating balance between discipline and fun. She also is a black belt in both Judo and Jiu jitsu and has competed in the olympics. My two stepsons always come out of their classes recharged and are proud to show what they learned. The instructors reinforce a sense of responsibility, respect, and discipline and they hold high standards for behavior. They also emphasize a growth mindset and encourage kids and adults to always look for ways to improve themselves. The instructors do an excellent job of recognizing and praising students who put in the extra effort. They also won't hesitate to call you out if you're acting like a clown.

  The coaches keep our kids on BJJ point with their strict but respectful style of teaching and discipline. Our son who has ADHD and often struggles with attention and impulsively has obtained outstanding coaching and support! Even during this pandemic they have kept our kids focused and their skills honed through virtual classes.

  This is a fantastic gym with knowledgeable coaches. I could not be happier to be part of the LCBJJ family right now. All the coaches are very attentive and detailed with their instructions. All the coaches are experienced BJJ practitioners and competitors who care about you and your goals. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn self-defense or get in shape. It's a great environment to be around. Coach Carlos and Coach Patty are coaches who care.

  Outstanding Jiu-Jitsu School for the whole family! After moving and training in Tampa, FL, my family and I were looking for a Jiu-Jitsu school that had had similar programs and we found it here at LCBJJ. This school is welcoming and the coaches are great with kids! The kids program is structured and led by coaches who know how to connect with children, teach valuable skills, all while making it fun. The adult programs have classes for all levels of students. The coaches are experienced and supportive no matter your skill level. My family also loves the schools connection and involvement with the community! If you’re looking for a place that the whole family can train, I highly recommend checking out Lake County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!

  I’ve been training here for about 2 years and cannot say enough great things about the gym. The gym is spacious and super clean. They offer an abundance of classes to fit everyone’s schedule – they have am classes for all levels, several options for evening classes to accommodate different skill levels and schedules, open mats and etc. Great coaches that are dedicated and committed to their students. The program is well thought out and is focused on improving technique, continuity and building on fundamentals. The best thing about LCBJJ is the CULTURE, comradery, and family like environment. This is a place where genuine friendships are built, and people are supported.
