Been training bjj for 10 years and I cant recommend this gym enough. Relaxed yet competitive atmosphere, knowledgeable professor, clean, and respectful.
Whenever I can I tell anyone interested in jiu jitsu to come to this gym.
See you on the mats!
Great environment and great instructors. There is a heavy emphasis on learning, and the instructors have stayed up-to-date with a constantly evolving sport. Every time I go in as an extremely positive experience and I’m always looking forward to the next time I can go in. Coach Edward really make sure to have a safe and fun environment where you can be tested at all levels of skill. I’m dealing with a lot of injuries, and coach Edward has been nothing but accommodating to me. I learn something new every time I go in even after 25 years of experience. On top of that, I have never heard of anybody say a single negative thing about coach Edward. Nothing but positivity
Coach Edward the 333 crew were awesome to train with during my recent visit to the Libertyville area. All are welcome and the instruction is top-notch. No matter your experience level, go check them out. This will be my go-to gym on my next visit.
I've been training at 333 Jiu-Jitsu for about 7 months. Nothing but great things to say. Coach Edward creates an environment in which you want to continuously come to class to learn and get better. I've been to a ton of BJJ gyms because of work and none has been as welcoming, succinct, and intuitive as his. The instruction is great and I love the fact that we spend a lot of time in stand up & rolling. Our gym culture is absolutely phenomenal and everyone is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced folks alike!
Coach Edward is fantastic. Very welcoming. The other students are a good group of people. Everyone is interested in helping each other get better. A truly enjoyable gym. I am a beginner and the more experienced guys were more than willing to share their knowledge with me.
333 JiuJitsu is a great club that includes grapplers of various experience levels. Coach Edward does a great job teaching everyone at these various levels. Very welcoming and motivated crews both in the AM and PM sessions. Will always reccomend to any new grappler or someone in need of a new club.
I can't say enough positive things about Coach Ed and the 333 BJJ gym. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed with warmth and professionalism, creating an environment that is both comfortable for beginners and challenging for advanced fighters. Coach Ed is a phenomenal instructor. His depth of knowledge in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is awe-inspiring, and his ability to break down complex techniques into easily digestible steps makes learning a joy.
Great friendly environment. I showed up randomly, and they accepted me with open arms, and I learned a lot! They have a wonderful professor thanks for everything!
I'm a 100% Jujitsu newbie. I started a few weeks ago, knowing next to nothing about Jujitsu or martial arts in general, and I'm hooked. Edward is a fantastic instructor, and the gym is clean and has everything you need for an initial outing. The gym is pretty busy too, and new people come in with higher belts all the time, so there's something for everyone. The class is structured well. For the first part you're just learning new techniques Edward walks everyone through, and you pair off to practice. Last thing is sparring, and everyone has such a great attitude about it. You'll never get pushed beyond what you decide you can take.
Ultimately, a safe place for newbies, definitely something for the experienced practitioners, clean gym, a great vibe, and a great instructor!
I recently took a self-defense class here and it would highly recommend it! Coach Jackson is a patient and knowledgeable instructor and the class was very approachable. This class prepares you for real life situations with practical and useful techniques! Bonus! I also left feeling like I had a great workout!
I do the 6-7AM classes Mon-Wed-Fri and highly recommend it. There’s something very rewarding about early morning jiu-jitsu. Coach Edward is great – very knowledgeable, down to earth, and welcoming. The gym is also nice and clean.
A friendly welcoming atmosphere that allows you to safely explore realistic self-defense. Jiu-jitsu is an addictively fun way to get and stay in shape while providing a stress relief.
I’ve trained with Ed for a few months and I am always impressed with his approach to jiu jitsu. Ed is always learning…always training with new pros and bringing back the best knowledge to share with his students & training partners. Always making those around him better, his obsession with jiu jitsu is contagious. If you’re looking for a great place to train, drop in and try out 333. I highly recommend
I’ve trained with Edward for over 4 years. He brings forth only proven techniques in his teachings and is a well rounded martial artist in standup, striking as well as Gi, no Gi techniques. Regardless of your age, goals or experience, he’s focused on making the most of your experience and worth a visit for class or open mat.
