i started at KMD Memphis because my kali/FMA training group was graciously welcomed and invited to begin meeting at the new facility when it first opened. it's a fantastic training space, and i'm still very grateful that the kali group has found a more-than-adequate home after going ronin for quite awhile :). i've since begun training jiu jitsu as well, and have found the instruction to be extremely detail-oriented, the instructors affable, patient, always in good humor, and most of all, completely competent and qualified. i have not yet had the opportunity to try out the actual Krav Maga classes due to time constraints, but it's been made clear by the very friendly staff that i'm welcome in class whenever i'd like to check it out, and i absolutely will do so. what i have seen of the Krav classes, however, has impressed me quite a bit. as with any martial art, there's good training, less good training.. and so on. every time i walk in near the end of a class, i see practical, straightforward scenario training, in real time, with real, appropriate resistance, effective striking/kicking/wrestling/clinching combined together in no-nonsense strategies geared toward *escaping* to safety while ensuring that your attacker is incapacitated and will not likely pursue. the instructors are very well qualified, and display the approachable attitude, good humor, and humility that typically comes with the confidence of such qualification. prices are quite reasonable, and the staff are happy to talk with you about how to fit your training into your budget and your schedule, without pressure. do yourself a favor, and come check this place out.
