Dave, the other coaches + the members have been incredibly welcoming, encouraging + patient while starting something completely new as a woman in a male dominated Art & Sport. This is the gym to come to if you want to learn self defense skills, gain confidence, feel safe & gain a supportive community.

  I joined GFT just over a year ago after being very apprehensive about starting BJJ and I’m so happy I walked through those doors! They welcomed me with open arms, they’re very family oriented and kid friendly, Coach Dave is an amazing instructor and everyone there cheers you on every step of the way! The skills and confidence I obtain after every training day is immeasurable. I would/do recommend this gym to anyone and everyone!

  My stepson Anthony comes into town every few months when visiting and will train here. He is a blue belt who has trained across the USA. He told me the instructors are thorough and helpful, especially Dave. The team welcomes him with open arms--no matter how long it is between the times he comes back. a Great class schedule and training for all levels of skill!

  Searched for a good place to train while having a short stay in Memphis. Found it! David is an excellent coach and had some great rolls with the GFT folks here. Very welcoming, clean place, including showers. Will definetly come back next time!

  I was in Arlington, TN for work and wanted to find a place to train and GFTN was perfect. David was super welcoming and great training partner as were his students. The next time in town I’ll define visiting again.
