  There are so many options when embarking on a Jiu Jitsu journey for you kids. If you want a place with ZERO ego and real skill in not only Jiu Jitsu but in their ability to work with young kids then start here. If you want to be hardcore then go to another gym and let your kids get burnt out. If you want your kids to learn the foundation of Jiu Jitsu in an extremely safe learning environment and then compete if and when they want to, then chose Kioto every single time! My little man has come a long long way in a year training two days per week. Love this BJJ family! P.S yes it starts a little repetitive when they are super little. It NEEDS TO! They need to do something 100 times at that age to understand. You will understand they are learning when your 5 year old takes a kid down on the playground that everyone was asking to stop punching them 🤣

  I was in town for business and dropped in to train with JR and his students. What an amazing group! Professor JR is top-notch! Very welcoming, kind, and accommodating. I was so happy that I stopped into train. I was able to chat with Professor JR on the way out and we had such a nice conversation. One of a kind! Thanks again Professor.   These guys are incredibly friendly and have a very welcoming training environment, it feels like a family. They also have an incredible kids class with an exceedingly high amount of participation. I would recommend training here if you are in the area or if you are thinking about having your children start their jiu jitsu journey.

  Was in Chattanooga for work and wanted to keep training. I found Kioto and the whole crew are extremely friendly and welcoming. Stephen and his dad are incredibly knowledgeable with a great learning pace. I highly recommend Kioto and will continue to train here any time im in town.

  Best Brazilian Jiu-jitsu gym in the Chattanooga area! Taekwando is taught here as well with great instructors. Wonderful place to train for men, women and kids! Family like environment and solid self defense tactics. Definitely try this gym out!

  It’s a great place for kids to get involved in BJJ and to learn discipline from someone besides their parents. We wanted to teach discipline outside of the family structure early , and Kioto has been wonderful. They are friendly and kid focused. Can see a big difference in our 4 year old after a month. He’s excited to go every week.

  Hands down the best Jiu Jitsu gym in the Chattanooga area. You''ll be hard pressed to find more knowledgeable instructors, who care infinitely about your improvement. Also, the community of people within Kioto is the best. It has a great family feel that is hard to find elsewhere. Everyone genuinely cares about you and your Jiu Jitsu journey. I highly recommend this gym!

  I have trained at Kioto BJJ Chattanooga on several occasions while in town on business. The atmosphere there is awesome and the training is both technical and intense. I will continue to train there during business trips and am looking forward to the next opportunity. Give them a try; you will come back.
