I was in town on business for the week and Mike allowed me to drop in for a couple classes. The gym was very clean and mats were awesome! Mike was very technical in his instructions. The students were very welcoming. If I lived in the area this would be the place I'd train. Thanks Mike!
I was there visiting from Texas. I was impressed with the professionalism! They answered their phone (most I reached out to did not), they had a set schedule available online and the training was excellent with a perfect mix of instruction and rolling. I will definitely be back when visiting.

I came to visit the area from Tampa and I dropped in at Lógica for a nogi class and it was a fantastic experience. The coach there is extremely knowledgeable and everyone there was super welcoming and I could not have began my vacation any better! If you are ever looking for a BJJ academy this is definitely the place to be. I will definitely be coming back when I find myself in the area again!

Coach Michael has set up such a welcoming and down-to-business dojo. He maintains high expectations from everyone, no matter your belt rank. He makes sure everyone stays safe, is super patient with questions, and makes sure you understand directions. The other students in the dojo are also amazing training partners--helping you understand concepts and give great feedback. You end up training with many different belt levels, and everyone is dedicated and determined, but humble at the same time. By the end of the session you've completed a wonderful workout, with some new friends, and learning to hone skills that not only help in BJJ, but life as well. I 100% enjoy this dojo! I did the 6 week challenge and it was an honestly great experience! I come from a high school wrestling background and was looking to get that same type of intensity in training and Logica really met those expectations. There's all different types of people to train with and you don't have to be a super athlete to be able to learn jiu-jitsu. Even though I love super intense workouts, the class goes at a good pace for all different levels that are joining the foundation classes. A good grappling partner will take you a long ways as people try to keep each other safe.
I've trained all over the U.S. and in several countries and I'd have to say this one stands out. Michael is a fantastic instructor who genuinely cares and teaches with knowledge and enthusiasm. I highly recommend this school to beginners and veterans alike!
One of my favorite things to do while traveling is visiting area gyms, a) to train while on the go and b) to experience different gym cultures. While looking up gyms in the Chattanooga area, Lógica BJJ caught my eye from the pictures and reviews I had seen online. Coach Pool and Coach Wheeler both welcomed me in and were so kind. Coaches and members were kind, personable, informative, and all provided fun and competitive rolls during the open mats I attended. The facilities were clean, up-to-date, and well maintained! I am not from the Chattanooga area, but if I was, I would certain enjoy being a part of this gym, its culture, and be grateful to be one of its members. Thank you for your hospitality, Lógica BJJ!

The Lógica gym has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I wanted to find something different to add to my fitness routine and overall confidence; the improvement in my strength, stamina, and personalized understanding of how I fight best are just a few reasons why joining this gym was the best decisions I could have made. Aside from physical improvements, mental toughness, knowing how to breath/stay calm in hard positions, and being surrounded by an AMAZING, supportive community are all things we often lack, but are skills and relationships found here.

I’ve been wanting to do jiu jitsu for awhile but always been anxious or had others things going on but coach Michael talked to me an helped me more then just in jiu jitsu but with things off the mats as well. Did a drop in while on vacation in Chattanooga and was received with fantastic hospitality. Professor Mike is a great instructor who teaches top class technique. During class we did some conceptual positional training which was awesome. Everyone was very welcoming and I will definitely be coming back when I’m next in town!

I was traveling through and did a drop in. Michael was easy to get in touch with and very welcoming. The class format is constraints based situational exercises, which I had never experienced before. I was learning things in a new way within the first 5 minutes. The culture is great, the experience was great, I would recommend this place to anyone at any experience level.
I joined Logica about a month ago, and I couldn’t recommend this place enough to everyone. Using constraints led learning to actively problem solve you leave every class having improved somewhere, and Michael is passionate about and great at explaining the foundational reason for doing what we are doing rather than just teaching you steps. Coach and owner Michael Pool is engaged, dedicated, and cares about making people better people as well as better grapplers. Coach Bill and Coach Jacob made me feel at home and took care of me my first day in even as black belts, and Coach Conner (a collegiate wrestler) has greatly increased my knowledge and confidence going from standing to the ground already in this short time. I truly believe I wouldn’t have made the progress I have so far without the style of training, community, and coaching that Logica has. I look forward to class every time, and can’t wait to continue learning here. Definitely check out this gym for yourself if you are in the area or in town and want to learn, roll, or be around a great group of hard working individuals.

Began my jujitsu journey with Michael and the Lógica family 2 months ago, and I am learning and growing so much already. Michael’s teaching style helps me critically think, learn on the fly, and build on my skills each training session. Also, cannot say enough about the community they’ve built here. As a brand new white belt, I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone is there to grow and get better and help others along the way. Highly recommend!

My son and I love training with Coach Mike and his team. Coach is great with my 9 year old. And my kid isn't just learning how to do jiu-jitsu in the gym -- he is also learning how to act off the mat. The change in his behavior at school and home will keep us coming back. Coach is also great with my old self. The intense nature of the training is something my body has been lacking. The training is hard, but worth it.
This place and the people are amazing! I have to travel for work and that can make training difficult. Mike was very welcoming and let me drop in for a no-gi class. The training style is different than what I am used to, but that is what I love about training at different gyms. This is definitely a gym I will visit again when I am back in town.
Michael is very knowledgeable and great with kids. We are very blessed to have someone like him instilling good character traits while teaching him how to defend himself.
Awesome school with great people. Mike's focus on heuristics, rather than teaching individual techniques, is the cutting-edge method, especially in the grappling/fighting world. And it works. Highly recommend for beginners or for advanced grapplers.
This is a new gym and mats are top-notch. The instructors are passionate as well as technical about Jiujitsu which can be difficult to find together. They are very welcoming to both new and experienced practitioners and create a very family friendly environment.

We’ve had a great experience for our 4 year old son. He was brand new to jiu jitsu and he’s already grown so much in just a few months. The coaches are patient and supportive while also teaching the discipline of the sport. We’d highly recommend it to other parents who are looking for an activity to teach your kiddo skills on and off the mat.
I joined this gym and I’ve been training. I can honestly say it’s been life changing. I feel better physically and mentally. Jiu jitsu is challenging, but one of the most awarding things I’ve ever done. Michael is a great instructor. He is very knowledgeable and patient with anyone new to the sport. I highly recommend.

I have had a great experience at Logica. The coaches are knowledgeable and create a positive environment for learning and growth. There is also a range of experience and fitness levels here, so I felt comfortable being relatively new to Jiu Jitsu when I joined this gym.
I've been to two BJJ gyms since starting back 2 years and I will say I've never felt so welcomed and at home till I got to Logica BJJ. Very nice, brand new, facility. Everything is top of the line, including the instructors. Great focus on fundamentals, which are glossed over at many gyms. Good healthy culture that focuses on growth and learning. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to train, but especially if you’re looking to get into BJJ as I doubt there are many places that focus so much on learning the fundamentals for new white belts.

Lógica Jiu Jitsu and Coach Mike are a true gift to my life. It had been a couple years since I trained regularly and have historically struggled with maintaining progress and staying healthy. Since joining, I’ve gone almost everyday and am consistently improving. Mike Pool’s methodology is great for beginners and focused on principles and fundamentals. The gym atmosphere is supportive and relaxed and perfect for exercise, skill development, and building camaraderie with other players at the gym. I’m so glad they came to Chattanooga.
