I’m from Fort Myers Gracie Barra, and I have been visiting many different bjj gyms during my break from college and I have to say Gracie Barra Orlando is one of the best places to train to learn valuable jiu jitsu. The facilities and professors/coaches are 10/10. We are regular visitors to the area and glad we have found these and will continue to use them. We arranged privates between myself and my brother with professor Jamisin as well as between professor Jamisin and my daughter. He is an exceptional teacher and was very patient with us being newbies to the sport, he adapted each session to match our current abilities while also pushing us to do better every-time. My daughter loved training with him, her sessions were fun but also very informative and she learned a-lot. She also joined in some of the kids classes which are exceptional as well. I would definitely recommend.

I visit a lot of BJJ gyms all over the nation. Probably 5 plus a year. This GB was so welcoming! The skills and technique showed during class were very solid. When you walk into a BJJ gym (especially as a black belt) you never know how you're going to be "welcomed". They either want to try and destroy you or they treat you with respect and humility. This gym welcomed us with open arms and showed my family and teammates with open arms! You will love this gym!

I started training at Gracie Barra Orlando last year because I wanted to learn kickboxing/self defense as well as get in shape for a personal goal I had which was joining the United States Marine Corps. I trained several months with coach Jameson to prepare for bootcamp and I can’t even begin to explain how much this gym and coach Jameson has impacted my life and helped me reach my goals. Not only was I learning self defense and enjoying every second of it but coach Jameson also help push me physically and mentally and improved my overall fitness. When I first signed up with Gracie Barra I was no where near where I needed to be physically and mentally. Over the several months with coach Jameson I took my 3 mile time down from 23 minutes to 18 minutes, my pull-ups from 10 to 25 and my plank from 3 minutes to 3:45 (this is the physical fitness test for the marines) he help me maximize my fitness test, build strength, skill and confidence through martial arts and got me into the best physical condition of my life. I will forever be grateful for this gym and coach Jameson for helping me achieve my Goals in life and help me on my journey to becoming a United States Marine

My 7 year old son has been doing Jiu-Jitsu in New Jersey for 2 years. I’ve sat through many many classes.! We stopped at Gracie Barra for a dropped class while we are visiting Orlando and I was extremely impressed with this school. The professors run the class in a very structured manor and made sure each child understood the moves and executed them perfectly! I’d suggest anybody looking to sign up their child, this is the place!!!!

This is a great school. The professors are knowledgeable and push you. Head Instructor Prof Roger is competing at a high level, and has a great way of breaking down positions. Prof Ray has deep knowledge and something that draws students at 6am. Everyone here is trying to help you get better. Three of my kids and I have been training here for years. The level keeps going up. Fit classes, striking classes, Gi, No Gi, Judo, competition classes, movement classes. If you have not tried this academy, you are missing out! Update: it is a special school that has 7-9 black belts that show up to classes and push everyone. This is a different academy.

I trained here for about two months before sustaining an injury (not their fault, it’s part of the sport). They were very understanding and worked with me on pausing my membership, even giving me a credit for the month I was charged but could not train. I will be returning after I recover.

I was visiting Orlando with my wife who was at a medical practitioner conference Jun 15-17. I was looking for a gym to roll at and got a hold of these guys. I paid the $25 drop in fee each day and and trained 2-3 classes per day, I learned a lot of great technique, got a good work out and the instructors and other students were very welcoming and patient. (I’d only been training for about 1.5months). My grappling club in Pierre, SD only has 2 blue belts for instructors, so it was awesome to be able to roll with black belts and brown belts. I highly recommend had a great experience. My main interaction was with Roger Santos who was very good coach and worked with me one on one some even though I wasn’t a full time student.

At the naga tournament I was competing for a different academy when I saw professor Bruno wearing a Gracie Barra shirt. Gracie Barra Orlando is by far one of the best Jiu-jitsu academies I've visited. Some teammates and I from Renzo Gracie New Hampshire were down in the Orlando area for the IBJFF PANs competition and were in search of a place to train away from home. Their facilites are top-notch, well equiped, and very clean, but most importantly, very welcoming. Professors Roger and Jerry were gracious hosts. The moment we walked through the door, they made us feel like we were a part of their team. The same can be said for the teammates at Gracie Barra Orlando, while training not once did I feel like an outsider to the academy. I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for a home academy to train out of or somebody on the road in need of a place to drop in for a few sessions.

They do everything here Jiu Jitsu, striking, workouts. This academically is amazing, clean facilities, family friendly environment. The staff are excellent and professional, highly recommend coming here to train whether your just visiting or here for the long haul it’s worthwhile to visit.

First and foremost I’d like to thank Professor Roger Santos and his team for taking me in for a no gi class while I was in town. The is a great school with greater people. If you’re interested in BJJ and are in the Orlando area I would highly recommend them. Fast paced fun and fundamental BJJ with great people. They were very welcoming and it was a privilege to work with them. I most certainly will make other visits while in town. Thank you!

I came to Orlando for vacation with my family and I had the awesome opportunity and experience of training at Gracie Barra Orlando, and meeting Prof. Roger, his staff, and students. From the first moment I walked in and stepped foot on the mats, they made me feel like home. I really appreciate the amount of one-on-one sparring time here. Over 30 minutes of one-on-one practice doing actual grappling with the experience and knowledge that you have to get used to escaping different holds from different members. In the beginner class, we focused on learning just two techniques from the start and the grappling. I hope to learn more escapes and movements in the future.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Even after we cancelled because our daughter no longer wanted to do it they kept charging me. Instructors seem nice, but whoever runs the membership part is terrible. If you are on the fence about doing this but just want to try it, pick a different place.
