The academy felt like home as soon as we first walked in. My family joined when they first opened, Caitlyn and Ygor’s academy has been a great addition to the Fort O neighborhood. They both offer an awesome wealth of knowledge with jiujitsu and make learning fun and enjoyable for the kids especially. Posted 8 months agoMy wife and I have visited Gracie Barra Chattanooga numerous times and every time the experience is top-notch! Ygor is a great instructor with great jiu jitsu who welcomes all in the community like family. I absolutely recommend Gracie Barra Chattanooga to anyone in the area interested in starting their jiu jitsu journey, continuing it or if you want to drop in for good rolls in a great environment!
Posted 10 months agoGracie Barre-Chattanooga is second to none. I was just a weekend visitor and could not have been treated any better! Instruction is very thorough. Professor Ygor was concerned about technique and less about strength. Environment was super friendly and full of solid training partners. Mats are exceptionally clean. I’ll make every effort to stop by again next time I visit Chattanooga. Thanks for sharing your jiu jitsu knowledge and staying true to Gracie Barra!!!🇺🇸🇧🇷
Posted 7 months agoTraining here was everything. Prof. Ygor & Caitlin were incredibly welcoming, especially to women and mamas on the mats. The energy was super supportive, and they’ve even got a cute little play area for the kids—which made showing up and training feel so much easier as a mom. The academy is clean, beautiful, and just feels like a place you want to keep coming back to.
Posted 8 months agoHad an opportunity to drop in for an open mat! Amazing mat space and great vibe. Professor Ygor was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable! Visiting from Dallas, I will be dropping in anytime I am in town! Highly recommend if you live in the area
