Super welcoming, clean gym with excellent instruction and solid, safe training partners. I was in town visiting family and wanting to keep up with training and Chris (black belt instructor/owner who was incredible) welcomed me onto their mats and gave me the same attention and correction as if I were a regular student. I cannot say enough about the quality of instruction here and truly “good vibes”!

This gym truly lives up to its name. I was in town for work and decided to drop in for some training. The owner and head coach, Chris, greeted me with a warm welcome. Class began with a thorough warm-up, followed by focused technique drilling and live rolling. The structure was well-balanced and completely appropriate for all levels—from beginners to advanced practitioners. After class, the mats were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, which made the space feel very sanitary. I can’t wait to come back.

I was in town for the week for a class and I reached out to Coach Chris about dropping in. Coach Chris immediately responded and welcomed me to come by for class. I also called him and left a voicemail. Again, an immediate response with an apology for missing my call. His gym is great. Very spacious and clean. When I got there, he immediately introduced himself and was again very welcoming. As students began filtering in, he made sure to let them know who I was and introduced me again before class started. His teaching style is very relaxed. It is really great how you are constantly rotating with partners while drilling. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. He made sure to emphasize points in ways that were very easy to understand. His students are all very proficient and technical while having the friendliest demeanors. Killers with a smile!! Rolls were excellent. Coach pairs training partners up. All of my rolls were challenging while helping me improve. Great feedback from every partner. I would highly recommend anyone looking to start jujitsu or looking to change gyms to check out Coach Chris and Good Vibes. It is a nonintimidating environment and he will bring out the best in you.

My six-year-old son absolutely loves training at Good Vibes. The instructors are awesome, the classes are fun, and I couldn’t ask for a better place for my kid to learn BJJ.

Since the very first class, I’ve always felt incredibly welcome at this gym. The atmosphere is inviting, and everyone here treats you like family. Professor Chris is the absolute best—he’s friendly, patient, and has a gift for teaching techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. Plus, his sense of humor makes every class even more enjoyable. The training partners are just as amazing. Everyone, from beginners to advanced students, is supportive, respectful, and great to train with. If you’re looking for a place to learn, grow, and enjoy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this is the perfect gym!

Come try it out, no better place to train. I walked into a room full of strangers and walked out from a room full of friends. The instruction and teaching is second to none, Chris (Professor, the owner) will get you to your goals.

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out this gym. Chris is an excellent professor who excels at building technique and teaching discipline. The environment is supportive and has everything you need to succeed. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been a savior for my mental health and ongoing stress, and this gym has played a significant role in that. Creating trust is a difficult challenge when choosing a gym, but give this gym a shot, and you’ll see it’s worth your time.

Chris Perry is an exceptional instructor and gym owner. I am not sure how he does it but the culture perfect. Everybody is serious about the training but don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s a great crew. And it’s rare to find a gym that teaches technique this well.

I honestly wish I found this place years ago. I'm brand new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, about a month into it and it has made a massive positive impact in my life. I've lost weight, gained muscle, gained confidence, expanded my knowledge, and best of all I never thought I would have much fun doing it! Coach Chris is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. He takes the time to work with the new students like myself to make sure we are understanding the positions and most importantly WHY. Above all, he's a great mentor who truly cares about his students and makes us feel like family. The students that I train with are amazing, the upper belts are very helpful and always share their knowledge. They come from all walks of life and over time have become people that I enjoy talking to and rolling with. Drop in for a fundamentals class, I promise you'll have a good time and a deep appreciation for the knowledge and skill that truly makes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu an art form.

Very welcoming culture. No one here is out to be the next MMA star. Seems like everyone wants to just learn, have an enjoyable experience with a few laughs thrown in for good measure. It’s great for kids and adults of all ages. My 11 year old daughter and I are enjoying it very much. Highly recommend!

Professor Chris excels in many areas. As a professor of jiujitsu he is thoroughly detailed and clear in his instruction, and leaves no student behind if they are struggling with the techniques he is demonstrating. As a people person, he has created an environment where all are welcome regardless of skill level and has nurtured a team where everyone is committed to helping each other succeed. In the short time I have been there I have felt exponentially more welcomed and encouraged than I have at my previous school. I not only learn from Professor Chris, but also the senior belts who are always willing to help me with whatever questions I have. Everyone in the gym motivates me to push myself and be a better player of jiujitsu. I cannot speak highly enough of the positivity and welcoming environment Good Vibes BJJ offers. If anyone is curious to try it, I fully endorse Professor Chris and Good Vibes BJJ.

Professor Chris is easily the most exceptional instructor that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and the privilege of training under. His exceptional instruction is very evident as you meet the rest of the team, whose skill is second to none, and even though they're all very highly skilled, extremely tough people they never look down on anyone and they're all incredibly welcoming and helpful to any and everyone that walks through the door. From top to bottom everyone shows that team feeling and just has an awesome atmosphere that I look forward to everyday. I would give it 10 stars if that was an option.

This is an excellent gym! I feel like I have learned more jiu jitsu after six months here than after a year and a half at other gyms. Professor Chris knows everyone and is dedicated to helping each and every member improve their jiu jitsu and health. Unlike many coaches who teach a different, seemingly disconnected technique every session, he focuses on a single technique with variations for 1-2 weeks at a time, which makes it much easier to drill into your head and incorporate into your game. People roll hard, but roll safely and respectfully. There are no bullies and no jerks.

There is just so much to take away from each class, it is truly worth the money! The environment is challenging and accepting as well. One thing I've observed from Professor Chris, is that he just simply loves Jiu-Jitsu and it really shows in each session throughout the week. Everyone should definitely give Good Vibes a try!

Good Vibes!! Chris Perry is an excellent instructor and coach. Being old and a bit broken, I feel extremely comfortable training at Good Vibes because of the leadership, instruction, teammates, and culture of this gym. Training is safe and fun. I would highly recommend Good Vibes for anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu, regardless of age, experience, or prior injuries.

I’ve had the privilege to train under Chris Perry for the last couple of years and he is definitely one of the best coaches around. He has a way of breaking every move down so everyone can understand the techniques. He has also created a really great and friendly atmosphere! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to train or get fit!!

I've been to 15 different jiu jitsu schools in the past 11 year's. By far this is one of the best. Professor Chris keeps the training engaging and fun. Always cracking joke's and a smile on his face. He takes the time for every single student there and makes sure they're developing their techniques as they should. Considering it's a 1 man operation that's no easy task but he makes it happen and keeps it professional true and true. I'd recommend goodvibes/G13 to anyone to come and train with us. Its a great place and good people. Training is top notch and fun.
