I have to say that the entire staff ( coaches) and all the students at this school are some the most awesome people I have ever met. I train primarily at another school, and over the years because of tournament competition have developed a great relationship with this school. I have come to train with them at open mats, and I have always been treated like I was a part of the team , I was made to feel comfortable right from the beginning. They truly help me learn at and get better. This is an amazing environment for learning and becoming a stronger person. No matter if your an adult, child, teenager, or you are experienced or just starting your journey, if you are in the Ewing New Jersey area, I highly recommend that you check them out!

Budo Martial Arts is a second home to me and my family. We have been involved with them since they first opened their doors. It started with my husband and son doing Jiu Jitsu some 8 years ago. Then, me doing Kickboxing. I was nervous about trying Jiu Jitsu. It seemed so weird to be in such close proximity with people I didn’t know. However, what I truly didn’t know, was the group of people at Budo are not strangers. They quickly become trusting partners whom you rely on to help you learn. In turn, you help them learn. When I was ready, I took advantage of a trial and got hooked, fast! As a business owner myself and a mom of 2, it was so important for me to have something for myself. I can leave all my worries of bills, kids, schedules, lunches (the list goes on), at the door. When I walk on the mats, my mind is fully engaged in the sport. This sport wonderfully does that for you. I have trained Jiu Jitsu with Budo for about 3 years now. The coaches and owner truly care about your progress. They all want you to succeed. I have always felt supported by them if I was struggling and when I do well! I look forward to many years of continued learning and self care at Budo Martial Arts. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to try Jiu Jitsu or Kickboxing for themselves or their child.

Budo is perfect if you're looking for a martial arts school that truly cares about its students, both on and off the mat. Whether you're an adult who wants to train or a parent looking for a place for your kids, this is it. The instructors are fantastic with kids, not only teaching skills, but important values like discipline, respect and responsibility. My kids look forward to going to class every week and I've witnessed first hand the positive effects it's had on them. For adults, and from someone who has spent time on the mat, they will meet you where you are regardless of skill level or ability. The environment is supportive, welcoming, and also challenging in a positive way. Budo has become more than just a martial arts school, it’s like an extended family for us and I would highly recommend stopping in to see Kieran if you're interested.

I joined with Budo a couple months ago with zero martial arts experience. The coaches and the students are all incredibly helpful, patient, and talented. This studio offers a great environment to learn techniques to empower individuals while also serving as a great work out. I am happy to have finally taken this leap to try out BJJ, and very glad I chose Budo to do so!

My son started Budo Martial Arts program at 11 years old as a beginner at the recommendation of his pediatrician as he was having some trouble focusing and was being bullied in elementary school. The improvement in focus, concentration and general attitude is amazing. He is in middle school now and no longer has a bullying problem as he walks with an air of confidence and maybe a little bit of air of don’t mess with me. They promote a true sense of family here and it isn’t just lip service. All the coaches here go above and beyond to make all members feel welcomed and included. They have classes to accommodate everyone from three year old “tiny ninjas” to adult black belts. Nothing but 100% positive experience in the two years we have been coming here. All equipment, gi, pads, etc are included with tuition. They offer a FREE introductory class. Call and sign up for a FREE class. You’ve got nothing to lose.
