I’ve been attending fortitude since January and I can’t recommend it enough. All the coaches are excellent, very welcoming and great at what they do. To anyone thinking about starting BJJ or MMA this is the place to be.

A very friendly and relaxed group of people for both the mma classes and the bjj. Everyone is helpful with varying levels of ability to train with. I’d recommend anyone interested in martial arts to contact Fortitude.
I’ve always been a big fan of watching fighting and things like that but never had the courage to try it myself today I went for it and what a time I had everyone was very welcoming and I definitely learned a lot I could not recommend it more!
Thankyou to Gary and George for being so welcoming in my first few weeks. Completely new to JJ, felt very welcomed and supported each session. Everyone there is really friendly and supportive, a nice community. Clear instructions, guidance during practice and encouragement on how to improve. Being a female and complete newbie i was naturally nervous to start, but so glad I found this club. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of starting, many classes to choose from throughout the week.
My two boys joined the club initially but I was so impressed by the instructors, Gary and Liam, that I joined myself. It’s been tough to start the sport at an older age but it’s such a supportive environment and a great team who all help that we’re all really enjoying it. Great culture, friendly environment and great instruction. What more could you want. Definitely recommended!
The perfect BJJ gym! Have had the fortune of training here as a beginner and couldn’t have asked for more from Gary or any of the coaches taking a session. I have been returning from a long term injury and Gary was never pushy in trying to force me down before I was able to start properly. The classes are great and everyone else training at the gym has a great attitude. Great techniques and I hope to continue learning and training for years to come! A proper club and very well run. Get yourself down and join the group!

I started training BJJ 5 months ago with no previous experience. I was nervous and anxious, totally out of my comfort zone but immediately felt welcome by everyone. The guys are all super helpful and friendly, I wish I started years ago. The stow coaches are understanding, patient and so helpful - It’s a life changing sport that I couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I’ve been at the club for over 2 years and as much as I’ve love the sport of bjj, it’s the club, the members and the coaching staff that keeps me always looking forward to the next session. A real friendly club for people who are looking to start their bjj journey or to blow the dust off their gi and continue their journey. Would 100% recommend for all!

I’ve just started out in BJJ, normally in mixed classes however I really enjoy the Ladies classes at Fortitude BJJ Stowmarket, they are great! Gary puts you at ease and being all female it’s a fantastic way for ladies to get involved if they are feeling uneasy about a mixed class! It’s relaxed and fun I highly recommend these! Be great to get more ladies involved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
