Coach Nick Says - Hands Down the Best Instruction Around transformimg the lives of countless practitioners.
From beginners to advanced students, here's what makes this academy stand out:
Quality of Instruction: The instructors at Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy are unparalleled in their expertise and teaching ability. Their dedication to imparting Jiu-Jitsu skills is evident in every class.
Clean and Safe Environment: The facility is always impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a safe and hygienic space for training. This commitment to hygiene was particularly crucial during the pandemic, and it's why they remained open when others couldn't.
Curriculum and Progression: The academy's curriculum is simply unmatched. It typically takes beginners one year of consistent training to have enough skill and knowledge to defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, faster opponent effectively in a street fight and earn a blue belt. In comparison, at other gyms, this can take anywhere from 2-5 years or more. This rapid progression is a testament to their exceptional curriculum and instruction. I've traveled the world for Jiu-Jitsu training, and I can confidently say that the Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy curriculum is the best I've come across. It is evident with how good practitioners get quickly.
Class Schedule: Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy offers a class for everyone. They have an over 40s class, beginner classes, advanced classes, a boxing program, a Muay Thai class coming soon, and, most importantly, the best-rated kids' program around. This is why I chose to enroll my son here, and it's also why I chose to coach kids at this academy. The dedication to kids' development is truly remarkable. It's one of the main reasons we transferred here from another gym - The Kids Program!
Student-Teacher Interaction: The student-teacher ratio here is the best around. More advanced students and coaches are always on hand to assist in every class, ensuring that you receive the individualized attention you need to excel. The lineage is the best around. Professor Eddie is connected to legends with lessons from Rickson Gracie, Henry Akins, Matt Thornton, and Chris Haueter. You will find no other pure Jiu-Jitsu; this is its purest and most traditional BJJ form around.
Community and Camaraderie: The academy fosters a strong sense of community through events, seminars, and social activities. It's not just a place to train; it's a family.
Price and Value: The pricing is fair and offers incredible value for the high-quality instruction and environment provided. They even offer trial classes so you can experience it for yourself.
Facility Amenities: The academy has convenient amenities like changing rooms and two separate rooms/mats, making it hassle-free to train.
Communication and Updates: They keep students well-informed through regular communication, whether it's through newsletters, emails, or social media updates.
Flexibility and Adaptation: At first, during the pandemic, Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy swiftly adapted by offering both live and online classes. This adaptability ensured that students could continue their training in a safe and flexible manner.
My Success Story:
I can't express how much the Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy has impacted my life positively. Since transferring here, I've not only honed my Jiu-Jitsu skills to my highest capabilities but also gained a newfound sense of self-confidence and discipline. I relearned all fundamentals here coming from a competition gym. My Jiu-Jitsu requires much less effort for maximum effectiveness, and it's strictly due to the instruction I received here. The instructors here have been instrumental in my growth, providing guidance that goes beyond the mats. I've not only become a more skilled martial artist but also a better person.
Thank you, Professor Eddie, for being the catalyst for my personal transformation. Your care extends beyond the mats and has been extremely helpful. Your dedication and support truly exemplify the spirit of Eddie Fyvie Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
