Great culture, great people, great instructors, and a great experience overall. I have not been training for long, but there are several things I truly enjoy about Dimitri's academy. First, it is a small, close group. I get personalized feedback and look forward to seeing the same group of folks that are trying to get better each week. Second, the instructors are not just proficient, but have an intuitive understand of how to interact differently based on the student & scenario. At times, this may be a subtle coaching queue. When appropriate, they will push through tough love, but from a place of genuine caring. Third, I appreciate that Dimitri is willing to post both schedule and price on his website. This seems small, but as someone with a lot going on outside of the academy, this allowed me to plan and be confident that I could train each week. Send the email, join a class, and let the experience speak for itself.

I started training with Dimitri in November of 2023 and couldn’t be happier with the experience I’ve had. Both Dimitri and Yoon are excellent instructors that have helped me grow my knowledge in Jiu Jitsu in a short time. The classes are a small size, allowing for you to learn with a direct connection to an instructor that cares about your progress. Couldn’t recommend DCBJJ more!

Training at Dimitri Chrisos Jiu Jitsu Academy has been an incredibly rewarding journey for me. I started my journey at this academy when I was a purple belt and had the privilege of receiving my black belt under Dimitri's guidance. His technical expertise and profound understanding of high-level techniques are truly remarkable. What sets Dimitri apart is not just his knowledge but also his unwavering support. He has not only taught me the intricacies of Jiu Jitsu but has also been a constant source of encouragement and mentorship, especially when it comes to competing. Thanks to his guidance and support, I've been able to achieve success in a variety of competitions. Looking back, I am immensely thankful that I chose Dimitri Chrisos Jiu Jitsu Academy as my training ground. I can confidently say that I have no regrets about this decision.

Great gym with great people. As a beginner it’s a perfect mix of helpful instruction and tough love. Dimitri focuses on technique and his knowledge is vast. Everyone is willing to help learn and are super welcoming!

Dimitri is the MAN! I started at the academy several months ago never having done Ju Jitsu, and in a short period of time I’ve learned a lot, improved my athletic ability, and made some great friends. Each class consists of a warm up, a few techniques/drills, and then we roll. The environment is fun and welcoming but also pushes you to do your best. 5 stars!

I joined the academy earlier this year and have been extremely happy with the professor and the students. It's the fourth Revolution school I've trained at, so I knew it was going to be solid. Dimitri is not only highly-skilled and knowledgeable, but an excellent teacher and motivator. We generally focus on a particular position or technique for several weeks, which provides us with enough repetitions and time to really understand and refine it. We train both stand-up and ground techniques, which I feel provides a more complete approach to self-defense and competition. Most importantly, it's fun group of teachers and students to train with! I would highly recommend the academy to anyone who is experienced or looking to start their BJJ journey.

I started at DCBJJ about 4 months ago and it is the best decision I ever made. I thought it would be so itmidating joining DCBJJ as a novice but this school feels like a small family and everyone is willing teach you and guide you to constantly grow. If you are interested in going there is a free 1 week trial and if you decide to join, you won't regret it!

I started training Brazilian Jiu JItsu with Dimitri at age 15 (now 26) and have always been impressed by his deep knowledge of Jiu Jitsu and commitment to his team. The students he attracts to the academy are always kind, but also great and tough training partners that are committed to improvement. Through the trial of competition at multiple belt levels, I have seen the effectiveness of Dimitri's teachings. I cannot speak highly enough of the positive impact that this academy has had on my life.

If you were shopping for a Jiu Jitsu academy near Chantilly area, then you just found the right one. Dimitri is a professional beast but good-hearted. Great people & instructors. I've been to few other Jiu Jitsu classes before, but this academy has been the toughest, meaning you will learn the most & improve your ground games.

DCBJJ is a fantastic academy to learn self defense, sport BJJ and get in shape. Along with the amazing instruction, the team is like a family were everyone makes you feel welcome. There is ample mat space, showers/bathrooms and locker rooms that are well maintained. You will not be disappointed!

Everyone is very friendly and there is a strong sense of community that is very welcoming to a beginner like me. In addition, there is an emphasis on technique and everyone from blue to black belt will take the time to answer questions on different positions, strategies, etc.

I got to say, Dimitri is an incredible instructor and trainer and along a great friend. I was able to learn so much in such a short amount of time, sharp my skills and train my body. He is very knowledgeable in the art of Bjj, it’s history, and philosophy. Highly recommend anyone who would want to improve your skills or learn the art from a dynamic, energetic, and motivating aspect. 5/5 and 10/10!!!

If you want to be great at Bjj, this is the school for you. Class sizes are small, so you get plenty attention to detail. The classmates treat you like family. It is the best value in the Northern VA area.

I was on a work trip in Chantilly, VA for three weeks and was blessed enough to walk into Dimitri Chrisos's Jui-Jitsu class. I walked in there over weight and out of shape. I had some prior experience rolling, but that was 7 years ago and I was always a white belt. Dimitri and his crew couldn't have been nicer, they gave me a Gi to borrow and had me rolling that day! It was great, and I was hooked. They have a great group of men and women there all very supportive and helpful in learning and progressing the sport. Needles to say I was there every day. The crew encouraged me to compete in a local tournament. I lost 15 lbs. and ended up winning both of my divisions. Dimitri was there the whole day coaching myself and Joaquin. (Other participants didn't have that advantage) He came up with a game strategy for each of us and we both ended up winning. It was a great experience! Weather you want to try out the sport, get in shape, get back into the sport, or are a seasoned Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, this is the place go, I highly recommend it! Dimitri Chrisos Jiu Jitsu Academy, meeting and exceeding expectations!
