The owner, Master Suldbayar (Sugi) Damdin, is an Olympic level athlete, which you cannot say about any other gym in the DC area. This is why I have dedicated my 8 years of mma instruction under him. He knows what it takes to win! The gym culture is also very welcoming and very much feels like family. If you're looking to up your game or just start a new sport, this is the place.

Chantilly MMA is more then a gym, too me is my school. The time I’ve been here I’ve met very talented and genuine good hearted people. Its for everyone from beginner to intermediate to experience. If your thinking to start training and even for fun I highly suggest Chantilly MMA!!!

Great gym with friendly and knowledgeable instructors. The Muay Thai classes are fast paced and coach Frankie provides great insight to both new and experienced fighters.
I've been practicing different martial arts for years and going to many different schools. Chantilly mma at first looks unassuming, there's just mats, not much equipment, but everything there is useful. But the real reason this school gets 5 stars is the quality of instruction and environment coach Sugi creates. While most bjj schools are good in this regard, I've noticed there are some bjj schools that are susceptible to creating a toxic environment amongst their students compared to other martial arts gyms. But not this place, coach Sugi is just so laid back, calm and methodical when he explains the techniques. The students are all kind and accepting, they help me work through the moves and are very patient and don't carry a big ego. Coach Sugi could hold his classes outside at a grassy park and it would still be a 5 star gym simply because of the quality of instruction. If you are in this area and want to pick up jujitsu, judo, or mauy Thai. I can't stress how much of a hidden gym this school is.
Came and train in that school and I really liked it .. the teachers are so nice .. did the muai Thai class I enjoyed it and also I got to meet master sugi he is a nice person .. and they have also a high technical bjj class.. highly recommend the gym
Chantilly MMA is an excellent martial arts academy for all levels of practitioners. Master Suldbayar Damdin (Sugi) is one of the best BJJ instructors I've been fortune to have learned from and on top of that has experience at the Olympic level in Judo. His academy is a very friendly learning environment and he places high emphasis on safety and well being of the students.

This is a great place for all level grapplers or MMAers. There are varieties of programs available, Judo, Mauy Thai and BJJ(gi/no gi). All the people and the staff are very friendly. Moreover, Master Sugi is such a top-notch and well-rounded coach(athlete) from all perspectives. One week free trial for all programs, definitely worth trying out!

Excellent passionate Black Belt BJJ and Judo Olympian, Master Sugi teaches at this school for children and adults. You won’t find many schools that teaches both Judo and BJJ. Students compete successfully at multiple tournaments.
