I’ve been training at Centreline Hove for a while now, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. The atmosphere is welcoming, respectful, and supportive. Everyone is encouraged to learn at their own pace, and there’s a real sense of community on and off the mats. The instruction is detailed, the training is challenging, and safety is always a priority. I’ve grown so much in confidence, technique, and fitness since joining. If you’re looking for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym with excellent coaching and a friendly environment, Centreline Hove is the place to be. Highly recommended!

I have just completed the beginners BJJ course and what a great experience it has been. I came in with no prior grappling experience but from the very first session it all felt accessible and fun. Coaches are patient, approachable and created an environment welcoming to questions, making mistakes and taking it at your own pace. They are clear in instructions and go beyond the steps of the technique to explaining the principles behind why these work. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly and supportive with a big emphasis on respect and safety - highly recommend as an awesome place to go if you are curious about BJJ but maybe feel intimidated to get on the mat for the first time.

I absolutely love being part of Centreline — it’s such a friendly and welcoming place to train. The ladies-only class on Sundays is a real highlight for me. It’s supportive, relaxed, and a great environment to learn while feeling comfortable. Nina is a fantastic coach who always makes the sessions fun and engaging — the perfect way to end the week. It’s a lovely group of people, and it feels great to be part of such a positive community, whether in the ladies’ classes or the mixed sessions during the week. All the coaches are incredibly friendly and helpful, and there’s a wide range of classes to suit even the busiest schedules. I’m so glad I found Centreline — it’s been amazing to discover a hobby that also improves my fitness. Easily the most welcoming club I’ve ever joined, full of like-minded people who genuinely support each other in reaching their goals. Thank you 🤩🫶🏻

My daughter, now 10, has been going here for years and recently enjoyed competing in her first competition. She has really enjoyed it and I am very impressed with the skills that she has developed. In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to try it myself! The fact that they teach kids classes made it feel a bit less intimidating for me, I felt reassured that the teachers would be kind and responsible. I am just about to finish the beginners course and I have really enjoyed it, it's fun and engaging with both mental and physical challenge, and I feel encouraged that I am learning something useful. I recommend anyone who is interested in Jiu Jitsu, whether adult or child, to try centre line - it is a very welcoming club.
