We’ve been at this school for years now. It has become a second home for our kids. Coach Derrick not only teaches the kids JiuJitsu, but he also teaches them to be all around good humans. He encourages them to be the best version of themselves. Our kids have learned and grown so much. We appreciate everything he does.

My kids love coach Derrick! We have been coming to Warrior for at least 2 years and he is the only reason my daughter will appease me and continue to go.lol It's not just a place to learn how to fight but also how to be a good person. Derrick connects with these kids and really cares.

From the very first time we stepped foot in this gym a few years ago we felt a very strong connection. Coach Derrick is more than a martial arts Coach, he is a mentor to the kids. You can tell he actually cares about them. He teaches Jiujitsu in a fun encouraging yet very disciplined manner. He not only gets the kids to love him but we as parents respect and trust him. My girls level of confidence has increased so much since joining the gym. Its a family vibe here and everyone is friendly and inviting. So if you're looking for a Jiujitsu gym for your children or even yourself, they're prices are very reasonable and you will be welcomed with open arms.

This is a great gym! Professor Derrick and Anthony are great coaches and really care about your improvement. The adult class is a great group for all levels. Whether you are looking to try something new or continue to develop your skills, I would highly recommend trying out Canton Warriors!

Great place to get started in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Derrick is an amazing teacher for the kiddos in particular, but we’ve got a great adult group as well depending on what you’re looking for.

I’ve attended Derrick and Rachel’s gym for years now and I can truly say without a doubt I’ve never felt more at home and welcomed over the years proud to have them as friends. If you’re looking for a place to learn Jiujitsu for your kids or yourself look no further. Derrick offers multiple classes for children and adults as well as advanced classes he’s always happy to roll with any student or talk he makes time for everyone around him you can tell his students and school truly matter to him. Just stop by and introduce yourself I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Super thankful for this business & Coach Derrick. My daughter has been having a rough time this year & at only 5, sometimes has trouble paying attention during class. He has been so nice to listen & hear what’s going on in her life and he goes out of his way to give her the attention she needs in class as well as shows great patience with her. He’s a great person to know & his staff at the business are also very kind & helpful as well.

First and foremost COACH DEREK IS THE BOMB! He’s very funny and gets the kids to greatness with love and humor. He knows each kid personally (and their grades). An pushes them to be the best in everything they do. The place is very clean. An the prices are worth it for what your kids gonna gain and it’s not just new jiu jitsu skills. They gain a life long motivator & friend in Coach Derek. An some serious friendly discipline. They also offer free trials for kids. An he always takes as long as he wants with each class. He leads them with care and it’s very refreshing in today’s world. If you live anywhere near here it’s worth everything to attend. You’ll love it after the first hour!

I’m so happy that we just decided to put both kids in BJJ one night after dinner! We look forward to practice 3 times a week and sometimes 4! Coach Derrick is great with kids. Mine are more serious about school and they’re slowly becoming little respectful kids. I’m very proud of their accomplishments and can’t wait to see where they go in life because of Warrior Canton Family!!!

Canton Warriors BJJ is a great place to train. The coaches provide individual instruction and they help their students master technique. Technique is vital, especially in knowing one's limitations and how to use it to your advantage. Coach Derrick creates an atmosphere that is friendly and welcoming for all skill levels.

In my opinion this is the best place on earth. I love coming to jujitsu and learning new things,challenging myself, and helping others. Everyone here has a very special connection that you cannot find at any other school. You can find your limits, figure out how to pass them, and become more than you could have imagined. Training here has been the best years of my life. I have learned perseverance, self confidence, how to push myself past my limits, how to make myself better, gained an amazing family and amazing friends. I am proud to be a Warrior.

This is an amazing gym to train at, for kids, adults, and even has an amazing ladies self-defense program! Our entire family loves this school. Very good instruction, cardio sessions, and respectful coaches and fellow classmates. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for self-defense, competition Jiu Jitsu; anti-bullying techniques or just a great group of humans to surround yourself with. Best gym, hands down!

I love this school!! I just started taking the self defense class with coach Lindsey and it has been wonderful! Everyone there is always outgoing and friendly. The instructors are willing to stay late with you and go over any techniques you need help with. They really want you to succeed. I also love that it is a family friendly environment.

An excellent place to learn, share, and grow your Jiu jitsu. Excellent staff and instructors in the kids program. Coach Derrick and coach Lindsey are amazing with the kids group. Your young ones will learn confidence, accountability, and respect. The adults class is an excellent group as well. Extremely supportive of one another and always eager to learn. They also have an AMAZING women's class led by coach Lindsey. This place has an amazing atmosphere with some pretty remarkable people. Great vibes at this academy!!!

My family has trained at this school for years. When we first started going, I had no idea I would be gaining a family. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and supportive - even for those coming in with no experience. This is by far the best jiu jitsu school in the area. The training is very high level but presented in a way that anyone can understand it (even me! Ha!) The kids’ program is unbelievable. Not only did they finish undefeated in 2018, but Coach Derrick really connects with the children. He makes them want to be better - in jiu jitsu, in school, and in life! I am so thankful for Canton Warrior BJJ and Professor Derrick Clark.

I started Jiu Jitsu with my son 4 years ago when he was being bullied in middle school. Professor (Coach) Derrick has a genuine interest and really cares for his students (especially the kids). I am very glad to have joined here with my son. He has learned respect and developed his self esteem under Coach Derrick's instruction. This is a great school.

I just recently joined Warriors Academy. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming. Having no prior training I didnt know what to expect. But I found not only a great group of people, but a pretty intense group when on the mats. Perfect!

Professor Derrick is an awesome dude and has a wealth of knowledge. He clearly has his heart in the right place and takes his role very seriously. He’s there to teach, both kids and adults, how to be a little bit better. At bjj, sure, but in other aspects of life as well. I’m not in Georgia anymore, but if I were in the area, I’d definitely be training at this gym. Great people and superb instruction. You really can’t ask for much more. It was a genuine pleasure getting to work with Professor Derrick. Truly, he’s a really awesome person and a great coach.

Great school with great BLACK BELT instructors, if you are anywhere near here you should be training with these guys. anyone saying anything to discredit Derrick obviously has never trained with him or talked to the guy for more than 5 minutes.

Professor Derrick has not just taught my daughter skills to help her feel confident and secure enough to stand up to her bullies, but she has self defense techniques that I know she can use in real life situations that will help her get away from someone otherwise stronger than her. Beyond the sport, he invests in their future, in their relationships, and in their character. He wants them to be compassionate and hard working people. The kids and adults that come out of this school are better and stronger people because of the heart that is Gracie Barra Canton, Professor Derrick and all of the trainers that truly care!

Professor Derrick is amazing and very patient with his students. He is very knowledgeable and is always finding the best ways to teach his students. He cares about all his students, like they are his own. I would recommend this jujitsu school to anyone. I love the fact that the students here earn their stripes and belts. Professor Derrick will not promote anyone unless they have earned that promotion. NO FREEBIES HERE. lol

He has taken a child with lower self esteem who has not found passion in much, and turned him into an excited, energetic child who can’t wait to come back. Robert Ortman Well that's really funny! My wife and I decided to have dinner at Viva la Mexico tonight because it's the first night we had without our kids in a while. When we walked in we saw coach Derrick sitting at the bar with two of his friends and I'm not sure if it was Sprite or Coke or sweet tea but whatever coach Derek was drinking was in a Coke cup. I've known Derrick 10 years. I've never known him to be anything but a positive encouragement to anyone that spends time with him. As far as kids go... there couldn't be anyone better. All the kids respond very well and he treats them with respect and kindness. Both of our kids love him. MORAL of THE STORY Don't. believe. every. crazy. rant you read on the Internet. Heck! Don't believe my crazy rant..., just go to Gracie Barra Canton shake his hand spend time with Derrick. You will find that his personality far surpasses his exemplary skill in Jiu-Jitsu. By the way he saved a child's life on Barrett Pkwy after a hit and run earlier this year.

What Robert said is completely fiction. I was with Coach Derrick that night eating and rehydrating after busting our butts in the gym. While it is true we go next door, we do that because not everyone gets to eat before training especially if you come straight from work. So, when i hear that someone who has never been to one bjj class at our school call it a scam because coach didnt know someone, i just want to say to him that ive been at gb canton for a little over 6 months and ive lost over 30 pounds, im gradually gaining the ability to defend myself everyday and ive connected to a community that is nothing but love and respect. If you think thats a scam then all i suggest is come on the mats and see.

GB Canton is a top notch school run by a genuinely nice man. The school offers a high level of instruction with a very welcoming atmosphere. They have a thriving kids program as well. There is also the benefit of other local GB guys stopping by to roll. All in all, this is the place to learn BJJ in the Canton area.

This is a scam. The owners bounce from place to place and get drunk at the bar next door every night. We have never worked out here or even tried, but the owners act like they know the sport and can't answer simple questions. Frauds. Stay away.
